Our speaker on Monday featured DHS varsity football coach Matt Rees. He highlighted his second year as HC talking about his players, coaches , and schedule. He opens the season at home against GlenOak. He is pictured with Dover Rotarian Dr Ambrose Perduk- GlenOak alum and school board member.

Tuscarawas County parents!!

While our Summer Meal Program has ended and we are transitioning back to our School Year Program, we want to provide families an extra opportunity to pick up food bags at our warehouse located at 1060 Cookson Ave SE New Phila.

We know that this in-between time can be challenging and we are here to help!

We also have a limited quantity of school supplies available.

Our warehouse will be open for families to pick up food bags and supplies this Wednesday, August 12th from 1-4 pm.

Last evening , the Rotary Club of New Philadelphia had a farewell dinner to say Thank-you to 2 longstanding members- Carey Gardner and Tom Police. The dinner was held at fellow Rotarian Richard and Cathy Geib residence. Great food and great conversations with everyone. They will be missed! They are picture with their wives. (Tom also decided to “AI” the photos so that the two of them would be well remembered.!!!)

Our speaker today was from Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital- Alvin Moore EMS coordinator. Great information regarding the locations that he services as well as the types of services and responders. “Might be an ambulance might be a fire truck.” He stated to always use 911 if you are in the Atwood Lake area.

At lunch on Monday we had 2 more Rotary Club of Dover scholarship recipients- Nathaniel Basso and Cameron Nauer. They spoke of their activities while in high school- which were numerous academics and athletics. Most intriguing was that they both were involved with a strings instrument- viola and cello! Very impressive! They are both off to The Ohio State University in the fall. Best wishes to both of them!!!

New president Jason Bambeck passed out new Rotary pins and then announce he had a hat to raffle off. And the winner was Linda McDowell Hutras!!!!

Rotarian Paul Giannobile introduced his guest today- Bryan Alesiano. He is a Dover native now splitting his residence between Florida and Dover. He spoke of his business acumen and the success he has had. He told us of his involvement with the beverage brand Celsius and his new venture with VALR Brand beverage. Nice to meet you Bryan!!!

Joining us today at lunch was another Rotary Club of Dover scholarship recipients-Hailey Kuecher. She was very active at Dover HS in both volleyball and softball. She will be attending The Ohio State University where she will study education to become a teacher. Best wishes Hailey!!

Our speaker today was Adelyne Erickson. She is involved with Sole Purpose- this is a group of middle and high school students who raise money to donate gift card to students in need of a pair of shoes. Along with her today we have Janie Miller advisor to the group. The group is affiliated with the Moravian Church of Dover. Great work Adelyne!!!!
