We’re honored to share some exciting news! 🏆

Team Tuscarawas has been named the recipient of the Ohio Economic Development Association ’s 2026 Excellence in Workforce Development Award!

What started as a vision to create a more connected approach to workforce development has grown into a collaboration of 27+ partner organizations across four counties — bringing manufacturers, educators, workforce organizations and community partners to the same table.

Together, we’re creating opportunities for students and job seekers, strengthening connections between education and industry, and helping more people discover the family-sustaining manufacturing careers available right here in our region.

And the impact is growing. From 22 students placed in paid work-based learning opportunities and upcoming Made in Tusc Tours, to career-focused digital content that has now generated more than 700,000 views, this work is reaching people in meaningful ways.

This award belongs to every business, school, organization, community partner and individual who has believed in what TEAM Tuscarawas can become. The Ohio Manufacturers' Association

We’re incredibly proud of how far this collaboration has come — and even more excited about where we’re headed next. 💚💙

TCEDC was proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting of New Philadelphia’s new downtown square — a space designed to bring people together, strengthen the heart of the community, and create new opportunities for connection and growth.

Investments like this are about more than creating a beautiful space. They help build vibrant downtowns where businesses can thrive, residents can gather, and visitors can experience everything our communities have to offer.

Congratulations to the City of New Philadelphia and everyone who played a role in bringing this vision to life. We’re excited to see this new space become part of the continued growth and momentum happening throughout Tuscarawas County.

Please join us in welcoming Cameron to the TCEDC team! 👋

Cameron joins us with a strong background in economic and community development, government, and public administration. In his role with TCEDC, his day-to-day work will focus on business attraction, responding to RFPs, building partnerships with local communities, businesses and site selectors, advancing development projects, and managing grants and organizational metrics.

Before joining TCEDC, Cameron served as a Budget Data Coordinator for Community and Economic Development with the City of Durham and gained additional economic development experience through an NCEDA Foundation fellowship with the Moore County Economic Development Partnership. His experience also includes work with the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Office of the North Carolina Governor, and U.S. Congress.

Cameron is currently completing his Master of Public Administration at UNC–Chapel Hill and holds an undergraduate degree in Community and Regional Planning from East Carolina University.

Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Cameron is settling into Tuscarawas County—and when he isn’t working to create new opportunities for our region, you can probably find him traveling or spending time with his dog, Ruby. 🐾

We’re excited to have Cameron on the team and look forward to the experience, perspective, and energy he brings to economic development in Tuscarawas County. Welcome, Cameron! 💚

BIG NEWS for Tuscarawas County! 🎉

ProVia has announced a $110 million investment in Dover, acquiring the Schaeffler manufacturing facility and bringing another major chapter of growth to our local manufacturing community.

The project is expected to create approximately 400 new jobs over multiple phases and generate an estimated $27 million in new annual payroll, with ProVia planning to begin operations at the Dover facility in 2027.

This investment is about more than a building—it means new career opportunities, support for local families, increased economic activity, and continued confidence in the workforce right here in the Tuscarawas Valley.

TEAM Tuscarawas is proud to celebrate ProVia’s continued investment in our region and the collaboration of the many local, regional, and state partners who helped make this opportunity possible.
