Exciting news for Rochester and surrounding communities! The groundbreaking of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital's new freestanding Emergency Department marks an important step toward bringing high-quality healthcare closer to home. We're excited, and proud, to support this significant investment in local healthcare. Opening in 2027 at The Ridge, the facility will offer 24/7 emergency care and help meet the growing needs of patients and families throughout the region.

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital has earned Magnet recognition with Distinction from the American Nurses Credentialing Center — the highest level of recognition in the Magnet Recognition Program and a first in our hospital’s history.

This marks WDH’s third Magnet designation and reflects the exceptional care, teamwork and commitment of our nurses, clinical teams, support staff and colleagues across the hospital. Congratulations to the entire Wentworth-Douglass team on this remarkable achievement!

Congratulations to the happy couple and the birth of their beautiful son, Connor! We are so happy everyone is happy and healthy and received the very best care at the Women & Children's Center at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital and then Massachusetts General Hospital when needed.

A wedding is usually the biggest day in someone's life, and so is the birth of a child. Imagine celebrating both of those in 48 hours. A couple from Dover managed to make it all happen. LINK IN COMMENTS ⬇️
