Thank You, Toombs County Retired Educators Association! 👓📚

The Lyons Lions Club extends our sincere appreciation to the members of the Toombs County Retired Educators Association for supporting our vision programs by collecting used eyeglasses for donation to the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation.

Your generosity will help provide the gift of sight to individuals in need. Together, we are making a difference—one pair of glasses at a time!

Left to right: Lion Helen Harris (Club Eyeglass Recycling Chair), Lion Nickie Muzafarov (Club President), Lion YaVonne Quigley, and Lion Marlene Tomlin. Both Lions YaVonne and Marlene are also members of the Toombs County Retired Educators Association.

💛 Supporting Children Fighting Cancer 💛

Lyons Lions Club Service Chair, Lion Duane Tomlin, recently encouraged our members to support Joshua's Block Party Challenge by donating new LEGO sets for children undergoing cancer treatment.

This statewide Lions of Georgia initiative honors the memory of Joshua Woodfin, who lost his battle with leukemia in 2014. Josh loved building with LEGOs during his hospital stays, and today his legacy lives on through the smiles these gifts bring to children facing similar challenges.

The LEGO sets our club collects will be delivered to children's hospitals, providing encouragement, entertainment, and a welcome distraction during difficult days.

Together, we can help build smiles—one LEGO block at a time. 🧩
