How is it already Wednesday? Each day has been full of connection and fun. Yesterday we traveled to Salida for whitewater rafting, adventure park, and the hot springs!
Other highlights include energetic worship songs, reflective devotionals, and time hiking in God's creation!

And we're off! Our Senior High campers are here and adjusting to the altitude! Today's morning activities were raspberry, rock climbing & rappelling, and ice falls. Followed by afternoon activities and worship!

The Summer Staff are here! Our staff have been practicing their skills in preparation for the first week of Summer Camp. To prepare for campers, staff get trained on technical skills as well as soft skills to be able to best serve our campers and their families.
We can't wait to see you all soon!

Our first summer program is in full swing! This year's Colorado Roots Music Camp has 89 students and instructors, making for good music and community. Students and instructors get to create music in the mountains, enjoying classes, jam sessions, evening concerts, and time to connect with other musicians. Hard to believe we're celebrating the 20th year of Colorado Roots Music Camp!

Our staff and volunteers have been working hard to complete the renovations for the Bern Dining Hall. Most recent progress was made on:

- Epoxy installed on the foyer floor.
- Final Coat of paint on the Bern ceiling
- Hardwood floors sanded and finished
- Door threshold install
- Install room heaters
- Finish room lighting
- Return tables & benches
- Set-up new & improved drink station

While there will still be some finishing touches (e.g. window trim, ceiling fans, outside drainage for gutters), we are grateful for all the renovations and improvements which are completed as the busy summer camping season begins. We're excited to see the Bern Dining Hall return as a central space for good meals and fun activities.

We had a fantastic weekend preparing for summer, and made a new friend who is clearly outstanding in her field. 🫎🌲

There was a lot on the list, but together we were able to prepare for the summer ahead. Some of the many projects include: Leveling the patio for tables and benches, installing umbrellas, preparing the campground, spring cleaning, and relocating equipment after the winter season. Many thanks to our wonderful volunteers!

As part of the "play" this weekend, we spotted a moose! Seeing it from below, it's clear to see their sheer size and strength.

Ready to embrace your wild side? Wilderness camp is a great place for kids to explore scenic destinations with people their age. Campers quickly connect as they take on new experiences.
