Teller Senior Coalition - Teller County We provide services to Teller County seniors so they can live healthy, active and independent lives. The Teller Senior Coalition is here to help.

We are the first choice for senior services in Teller County. We provide door to door Transportation, Case Management counseling services, Respite Services for Caregivers , Fixed Bus Route, Legal Aid, Home Delivered Meals, Homemaker Services, Senior Food Boxes, Food Pantry, NEMT transportation and assistance with energy needs.

Sometimes the smallest gesture can make the biggest difference.

Take a few minutes today to check in on an older friend, neighbor, or family member. Give them a call, stop by for a visit, share a cup of coffee, or simply ask how they're doing.

Staying connected matters at every age, and a little kindness can go a long way in reminding someone that they are valued, remembered, and cared for.

Cold & Flu Season Is Here—A Few Simple Steps Can Help

As temperatures cool and we spend more time indoors, it’s a good time to think about simple ways to help protect yourself and those around you during cold, flu, and respiratory illness season.

A few healthy habits can make a difference:

• Cover coughs and sneezes
• Get plenty of rest and stay hydrated
• Stay home when you’re sick when possible
• Wash your hands often with soap and water
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces
• Talk with your healthcare provider about vaccines that may be recommended for you

Older adults can be at greater risk of serious illness from respiratory infections, making prevention especially important during the fall and winter months.

Small Repairs Can Make a Big Difference!

Teller Senior Coalition is looking for a dependable, skilled Volunteer Handyman to help older adults throughout Teller County with small home repairs and safety improvements.

From installing grab bars and fixing loose handles to replacing light bulbs and making homes more accessible, these simple projects can make a meaningful difference in someone's everyday life.

You don't have to commit to a full-time schedule. Just a willingness to share your skills and help your neighbors!

The Teller Senior Coalition First Responder Chili & Soup Cook-Off is happening this week, and we hope you’ll join us for some delicious food, friendly competition, and community fun!

Our local first responders are bringing their best chili and soup recipes—and you get to help decide who earns the bragging rights!

Come hungry, sample the entries, and vote for your favorites. Additional votes will be available for purchase, and TSC will provide bowls, silverware, drinks, and dessert.

Facing the Mourning: Finding Support Through Grief

Losing someone you love is never easy, and navigating grief can feel overwhelming. But you don't have to go through it alone.

Facing the Mourning is a supportive grief group offered through Voices of Grief, a program of Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care, and Community of Caring.

This group provides a welcoming space to connect with others who understand the challenges of loss while exploring meaningful ways to process grief through journaling, goal setting, creating memorials, and letter writing.

Stay Active. Stay Strong. Stay Independent.

Staying active is an important part of healthy aging, and it doesn’t have to mean spending hours at the gym.

Walking, gardening, dancing, swimming, light strength exercises, or simply finding more ways to move throughout the day can all help you stay active.

The National Institute on Aging recommends a combination of aerobic, muscle-strengthening, and balance activities for older adults. Regular physical activity can also help maintain strength and physical function, making everyday activities easier and supporting continued independence.

The most important thing is to find activities that work for you, start gradually, and keep moving! If you have a chronic condition or concerns about exercising safely, talk with your healthcare provider about activities that are appropriate for you.

As the days get shorter and the weather gets cooler, staying connected to our community is more important than ever.

At Teller Senior Coalition, we’re here to help older adults throughout Teller County stay active, independent, and connected.

From transportation and community resources to support services and opportunities to get involved, our goal is to make sure seniors and their families know they have somewhere to turn when they need a little help.

Sometimes, a ride, a helping hand, or simply knowing someone is there can make all the difference.

Teller Senior Coalition is proud to share another great opportunity happening in our community!

Join the Rampart Library District for Community Resource Day, a one-day event designed to help community members of all ages discover local resources, connect with organizations, and learn more about the services available throughout our county.

📍 Woodland Park Library

Stop by to:

• Connect with local community resources
• Visit with community leaders and nonprofit organizations
• Hear short presentations on important topics
• Enjoy snacks, games, and prizes
• Learn more about programs and services available in our area

A free/low-cost vaccine clinic provided by Colorado’s Mobile Public Health Clinic will also be available from 1:00–5:00 PM in the Large Meeting Room.

We encourage our community to stop by, make connections, and discover some of the many resources available right here in Teller County!
