NACHC is excited to welcome Felix M. Valbuena, MD, DABFM, FAAFP, as the new Chair of our Board of Directors!
Dr. Valbuena, CEO of Community Health and Social Services Center (CHASS Center) in Detroit, has dedicated nearly four decades to the Community Health Center movement. His journey at CHASS began as a social worker and continued as a family physician and Chief Medical Officer before he became CEO.
“Community Health Centers represent healthcare at its best, and I am honored to have this opportunity to serve the health center movement as NACHC’s Board Chair,” Dr. Valbuena said.
He steps into this leadership role at a pivotal time as NACHC advances the —a roadmap to double the investment in primary care, double its reach, and double the next generation of the primary care workforce.
