On behalf of the Detroit Hispanic Lions Club (DHLC), I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for participating in our 8th Annual Memorial Delia Trejo White Cane Fundraiser Drive and for helping us honor the memory of Delia Trejo. Since her passing on July 4th, 2015, we have dedicated this fundraiser in her honor to continue her legacy of service.
Delia was not only a dedicated member of the DHLC, but also served at Holy Redeemer Parish and School with unwavering compassion. This fundraiser allows us to carry on her legacy of kindness and community service, and we are incredibly grateful for the continued support we've received over the years.
Thanks to the generous contributions from our community, the Lions Club has been able to assist with critical projects, including providing tuition assistance for students at Holy Redeemer Elementary, supporting local food banks, offering eyeglasses to those in need, and organizing other charitable events that make a meaningful impact on many lives.
This year we were able to collect over $1,800 in donations, in which $1,200 was given to Principal Sister Kateri at Holy Redeemer Grad school to help a family with tuition needs.
Your support helps us keep Delia's spirit of giving alive and make a lasting difference in our community. We look forward to your continued involvement in our efforts to serve those in need.
With sincere gratitude,
The Detroit Hispanic Lions Club
