We were proud to kick off Pride Month this weekend at Ferndale Pride! 🌈
Birth Detroit was honored to sponsor a lactation tent, offering a welcoming space for Pride attendees who needed a place to feed, pump, rest, and care for their little ones throughout the day.
A special thank you to Southeast Michigan IBCLC's of Color for their support, partnership, and dedication to helping families feel cared for and supported.
Happy Pride Month! Birth Detroit proudly supports love, dignity, and belonging for all. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Join us for The Birthworker Reset, is a restorative gathering created to honor and support birthworkers through mental health and wellness.

Tickets are $30 and include access to a thoughtfully curated experience featuring giveaways, music, food, meditation, light movement, acupuncture, panel discussions with mental health professionals, and powerful storytelling from fellow birthworkers. Purchase a ticket by visiting https://ow.ly/VmPh50YGZxK, or by clicking the link in our bio.

This space is designed for you to feel cared for, appreciated, and deeply supported. Together, we’ll explore meaningful coping strategies to help sustain you as you continue holding space for others.

Birthwork is sacred, but it isn’t easy. The unpredictability, the emotional weight, and the balance of personal responsibilities can be overwhelming. This event is a reminder that your wellbeing matters too. Checking in with yourself, honoring your limits, and saying “no” when needed are all acts of care.

You deserve to be poured into, just as much as you pour into others. Tag a birthworker who needs this reset. 💛

Mental health care is a part of whole person care. 💛

Black women experience higher rates of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, but too often do not receive the support and care they deserve. EMERGE was created to help change that.

EMERGE is Birth Detroit’s mental health support program for individuals navigating the emotional and life changes that can come with womanhood, pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Led by Vanessa Landrum, CNM, PMHNP-BC, our care is compassionate, culturally rooted, and centered on your wellbeing.

You do not have to navigate it alone. Support is here.

Request an appointment at birthdetroit.com/emerge.
