Last Friday, Woodbridge Neighborhood Development hosted their Back to School Bash to kick the school year off with fun, community, and festivities! 🎒🎉

They hosted many activities including a backpack giveaway, bounce houses and face painting for children to enjoy, and community resources including health screenings from Care Access and environmental resources from Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.

Central Detroit Christian Community Development is a nonprofit that is empowering the Detroit community to reach its highest potential. From housing counseling, housing development, property management, and much more, CDC provides resources to create opportunities for Detroiters!

Meet Tanisha Frasard, a resident who experienced hardship on her path to homeownership. Thanks to resources and training provided by CDC, she and her husband went from renting to becoming homeowners and she also found community and employment with Central Detroit Christian. 💙

Last week, we celebrated another year of Project Genesis with our partners at the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) and the Detroit Public Safety Foundation at the Project Genesis graduation ceremony!

Over 35 Detroit students spent the summer working and gaining valuable skills and training, hands-on experience, and a closer look at careers in healthcare.

We also had the pleasure of providing students with scholarships to acknowledge the time and effort they put forth during the program.

Congratulations to all students! We are extremely proud of your accomplishments!

TechTown Detroit has officially announced the 2026 Detroit Elevate Cohort! 🎉

Detroit Elevate is a business growth initiative that assists established Detroit entrepreneurs with resources, training, and connections to help strengthen and grow their companies.

This year’s cohort will go through Pitch Lab, a three-part workshop series designed to help entrepreneurs communicate their business ideas with confidence, clarity, and purpose. In the final session, participants will present in front of a panel of community leaders and receive individualized feedback in a real-world pitching environment.
