In 2025, the Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP) was designated a Top Workplace by Michigan Top Workplaces. This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage LLC, an employee engagement technology partner, which partnered for the 18th year with the Detroit Free Press to determine winners in Michigan. The confidential survey uniquely measures the employee experience and its component themes, including employees feeling Respected & Supported, Enabled to Grow, and Empowered to Execute, to name a few. The DDP’s 50-member team works to execute the organization’s mission to cultivate social and economic impact in Downtown Detroit. Through strategic placemaking, mobility and infrastructure initiatives, economic development activities, small-business support, event planning, and more, the DDP is creating a vibrant, thriving urban core that is welcoming, clean, and safe for Downtown businesses, residents, and visitors.

Each year at Campus Martius Park, the Downtown Detroit Partnership carries on a meaningful tradition by placing wreaths at the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument in tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

In recognition of World NF Awareness Day, Downtown Detroit Partnership is proud to join the national Shine a Light campaign by illuminating our parks and public spaces blue and green through May 22 in support of those affected by neurofibromatosis (NF).

NF1, the most common form of NF, affects approximately 1 in 3,000 people worldwide, yet many people are still unaware of the condition and the daily challenges it can bring. In partnership with NFX, Beacon Park Detroit, Bedrock, Ford Field, Michigan Central and others across Downtown, we’re helping shine a light on the individuals, families and communities impacted by NF while raising awareness, inspiring compassion and reminding those affected that they are seen and supported.
