Two invasive and overreaching measures are on Colorado’s ballot this fall, and voters deserve to know what they would actually do.

Proposition 134 does nothing to meaningfully strengthen girls’ athletics. Instead, it could subject young girls to increased scrutiny, harassment, and invasive questions about their bodies.

Proposition 135 singles out trans youth and undermines the ability of families and medical providers to make deeply personal healthcare decisions.

These measures are being sold through fear and misinformation, but their consequences would be real for young people and families across Colorado.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue breaking down the myths surrounding Propositions 134 and 135 and sharing what voters need to know. Follow along, share this information, and help us defeat both measures.

Investing in our schools is investing in ALL Colorado students. LGBTQIA+ students face higher rates of harassment in schools, worse academic outcomes due to a lack of support, and they often feel unsafe in school. Prop NN is a huge step forward in fixing the imbalances in our state.

For families worried about what comes next: One Colorado is here for you.

Starting October 13, a federal rule is set to limit Medicaid and CHIP coverage for some forms of gender affirming medical care for youth, and Colorado families still have options.

Trans rights are on the ballot this fall, and this fight affects all of us.

Propositions 134 and 135 would take decision-making power away from parents, communities, and medical experts and put it in the hands of politicians. These measures threaten trans youth while setting a dangerous precedent for families across Colorado.

We have to stop them from passing.

Over the next four weeks, we’ll be exposing the myths surrounding these measures, explaining their real-world consequences, and giving Colorado voters the information they need before Election Day.

Harsher policing and criminal penalties can deepen harm in communities that already carry the weight of over-policing, incarceration, and systemic inequity.

It’s LGBTQIA+ people and families in every corner of our state. It’s the advocates, volunteers, donors, partners, and community members who keep showing up. It’s all of us, together, building a Colorado where everyone can live openly, safely, and authentically.

We shared this video at the Prism Awards this weekend as a reminder that no matter where we live, who we love, or how we show up in this movement, we are connected.
