At P2P-CO we provide information & emotional support to families of individuals with disabilities

Parent to Parent of Colorado (P2P-CO) provides information and emotional support to families of sons and daughters with disabilities and special health care needs. P2P-CO was formed by a small group of family leaders in 1997 and has grown to over 4000 members across Colorado. We provide an active Online Parent Support Group where families can confidentially ask and receive advice and support. We also have a private Facebook group for families who wish to communicate in Spanish. A unique characteristic of Parent to Parent programs is that we offer individual matching, upon request, to a trained Support Parent so that a family member can receive one-on-one information and emotional support. P2P-CO is a program of Ability Connection Colorado and an affiliate of Parent to Parent USA.

Our October Lunch and Learn is coming up in a few weeks. This will be a great discussion about the similarities and differences between Occupational Therapy and ABA therapy.

This Friday is our awesome Virtual Coffee Hour for Caregivers, at 10am, zoom.

A casual monthly gathering open to all parents/caregivers of an individual with a disability or special healthcare need(s) in the state of Colorado.

Come together as a community to laugh, vent, and cry, talking about things that some people will never get. Let's celebrate the wins and help those who need it.

We simply cannot do what we do here at P2P-CO without our incredibly selfless volunteers.

This month we want to recognize and thank Kelsey M! She has been a Support Parent since 2024 and has supported over 6 families. She brings a wealth of lived experience advocating for her daughter. A match described her experience as, "Kelsey is simply amazing. It was so helpful to have another parent checking in and truly hearing my story. It was very validating." At P2P we are always recruiting parents of daughters and parents of kids considered twice exceptional (2E) .
