šŸŽ‚ TODAY OUR DAUGHTER JESPER TURNS 10! ā¤ļø

Ten years old today! šŸ„¹šŸŽ‰

What a beautiful little celebration we had here at God’s Village for our daughter Jesper Esther Eyalama.

Sometimes it is the simplest family moments that become the sweetest memories.

There was no big birthday cake today—just our homemade birthday bread, our children gathered around, lots of laughter, and one very happy birthday girl. šŸ˜‚ā¤ļø

And if you look carefully at the plate, you may notice a little 200 Uganda shilling coin. That was Mama Prossy’s little birthday gift to Jesper. šŸ˜Šā¤ļø Of course, the children noticed it too!

Then came the best part—cutting the bread, sharing it around, feeding one another, laughing together and celebrating another year of her life.

Looking at Jesper today, my heart simply says:

Thank You, Jesus, for Your grace. šŸ™ā¤ļø

Watching our children grow is one of the greatest privileges God has given us. Year after year, we see them becoming stronger, discovering who they are, dreaming about their futures, and filling God’s Village with life.

Today was Jesper’s day. šŸŽ‚ā¤ļø

Happy 10th Birthday, our daughter Jesper!

May the Lord protect you, guide your steps, increase your wisdom, and allow you to grow into everything He created you to become.

Daddy and Mama Prossy love you, and your whole God’s Village family celebrates you today! ā¤ļøšŸŽ‰

Thank You, Jesus, for the grace of serving You through these precious lives.

🌟 VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH — AUGUST 2026

Today, we are honored to celebrate Ronald Aryagasha, our Volunteer of the Month at Vangrace Compassion Ministries. ā¤ļø

Ronald’s journey with us began in 2008, and through the years, he has continued serving with remarkable faithfulness—teaching children at Vangrace Academy, helping with work around God’s Village, and simply being willing to serve wherever his hands are needed.

Ronald once shared:

ā€œI yearn to do it to the best of my ability because all I want is to see unprivileged children’s future brilliant and to make sure they have a better tomorrow.ā€

Years later, that heart is still visible in his service. šŸ™šŸ¾

Ronald, THANK YOU for your faithfulness, your love for the children, and the many years you have given in service. We pray that God will richly bless and reward you.

šŸ‘šŸ¾ Help us celebrate Ronald in the comments!

🌿 AUGUST 2026 IMPACT REPORT — BEHIND THE SMILES

If you only saw the photographs we shared from God's Village throughout August, you might never know just how difficult this month really was.

The children still smiled.
School continued.
Church continued.
Meals were prepared.
There was laughter around God's Village.

But behind many of those smiles was a battle we did not always share publicly.

August has been one of the most challenging months we have walked through this year.

Food became an almost constant concern. Medical supplies became severely depleted. Everyday responsibilities continued whether resources were available or not. There were moments when we simply did not know how the next need would be met.

Yet somehow, day after day, God carried us.

And that is why this month's Impact Report means something different to us.

It isn't simply a report of percentages.

It is evidence that even during an extremely difficult month, the children were still cared for.

šŸ½ļø Meals & Nutrition — 64%
šŸ“š Education & Skills Development — 15%
šŸ  Safe Homes & Daily Care — 12%
ā›‘ļø Medical & Healing Care — 9%

Now, as August closes and September stands before us, I will admit that we enter this new month with many unanswered questions.

We don't yet know how everything will work out.

But we know the God who has carried God's Village this far.

So more than anything, we are asking our friends around the world to pray with us as September begins.

Pray for daily provision.
Pray for renewed medical supplies.
Pray for wisdom and strength.
Pray for every child and caregiver.
And pray that God will once again make a way where we cannot yet see one.

šŸ™ ā€œMy help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.ā€ — Psalm 121:2

August tested us.

But God brought us to its final day.

And now, by faith, we place September into His hands. ā¤ļø

šŸ™ BUILDING STRONG FAMILIES

Final Encounter: RAISING GODLY GENERATIONS

Homes Established in Peace

A strong family is not only built for today—it is built for generations yet to come.

God told His people:

šŸ“– ā€œThese words... shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children...ā€ — Deuteronomy 6:6–7

Before our children hear our faith, they should be able to see our faith.

Let them see you pray.
Let them see you trust God.
Let them see you forgive.
Let them see you worship.
Let them see you remain faithful when life becomes difficult.

Because what you live before your children today can become the spiritual foundation they carry tomorrow.

Psalm 128 gives us a beautiful picture of a household that fears the Lord and walks in His ways. God desires our homes to become places where His presence is welcomed, His Word is honored, and His peace is established.

You may not be able to give your children everything in this world—but never underestimate the inheritance of faith, prayer, godly character and the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

šŸ”„ Declare over your family today:

ā€œThe blessing will not stop with me. My children and the generations after me will know and serve the Lord!ā€

šŸ™ PRAYER:
Lord, establish our homes in Your peace. Let Your Word live in our hearts and in our children. Heal what is broken, strengthen every family, and raise through us a generation that will love You, serve You and carry Your truth forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

What spiritual legacy are you building in your home today? ā¤ļø

🌿 LOOK WHO IS GROWING UP AT GOD’S VILLAGE ā¤ļø

Some photographs have a way of reminding you just how quickly the years are moving.

This is Solomon.

We came across some of his older pictures today—including one of him proudly showing off a little airplane the children had made—and then looked at the young man sitting before us today. 😊

Solomon is now 15, growing, learning and continuing with school. And that childhood interest in making things hasn't disappeared either. He still talks about becoming a mechanical engineer someday.

Around God’s Village, we get to witness these changes little by little. You don't always notice them happening—until an old photograph suddenly reminds you just how far a child has come.

From little homemade airplanes to much bigger dreams. ā¤ļø

Just a little Solomon update from God’s Village today.

🌱 GROWING A LITTLE AT A TIME AT GOD’S VILLAGE

There are several small projects quietly growing around God’s Village, each one part of our desire to make this home a better place for the children.

Today we thought we would introduce you to one of them—our little cocoa plantation! 🌱😊

About 1½ years ago, we planted 27 cocoa plants within our small fruit yard here at God’s Village. They have faced their share of challenges along the way—some insect damage, changing weather and the everyday work of keeping young plants healthy—but they are growing!

Some have grown faster than others, and seeing those beautiful fresh leaves coming again always makes us smile. ā¤ļø

It may only be 27 cocoa plants, but around here we enjoy watching little things grow. And who knows… maybe one day the children will be enjoying cocoa harvested right here at God’s Village. šŸ˜‚šŸŒ±

For now, we keep watering, caring, learning and watching them grow.

Just another little piece of everyday life and progress from God’s Village today. ā¤ļø

🌿 A LITTLE LIFE FROM GOD’S VILLAGE TODAY ā¤ļø

Getting everyone into one photo? Almost impossible. šŸ˜‚

But somehow, they managed it!

Just a little glimpse of an ordinary afternoon at God’s Village—children laughing, playing, growing, and enjoying being together.

One of the beautiful things about watching children grow is seeing their different personalities come alive. Some are quiet, some will talk all day, some are always making everybody laugh, and apparently quite a few are experts at appearing in front of the camera at exactly the right moment. šŸ˜‚

They are growing quickly too. Sometimes we look at them and wonder where the years have gone.

School, church, games, chores, friendships and all the little moments in between—this is everyday life here.

And today, there isn't really a big story to tell.

Just happy faces from God’s Village saying hello to our friends around the world. šŸ‘‹šŸ¾ā¤ļø

ā¤ļø FROM ABANDONED BABIES TO DREAMS BIGGER THAN THEIR BEGINNING

Does anyone remember this old photograph?

That little girl on the left is Esther, and beside her is Geoffrey.

Sometimes I look at photographs like this and just sit for a moment.

Esther came into our care at only one month old. Geoffrey came at about seven months old. Back then, even something as simple as having enough baby formula mattered so much. That large bag of milk powder beside them became part of Esther’s little journey of growing.

And now look at them. ā¤ļø

Sometimes when I am carrying so much in my heart, I look at these children and the stress seems to become smaller. I remember how far God has already brought us, and I find another reason to keep going.

Because raising a child is not one moment of rescue.

It is years of feeding, schooling, comforting, correcting, praying, laughing, worrying, growing—and showing up again tomorrow.

There have been difficult seasons along this journey, and there are difficult days even now. But through it all, God has given us grace.

And there is something deeply personal about that responsibility for me.

A child who once experienced abandonment should never have to grow up wondering whether the family that received them will someday give up on them too.

No.

By God's grace, we keep walking together.

Today Esther talks about becoming a doctor someday. šŸ©ŗā¤ļø When I look at her, I don't want her story to remain, ā€œthe baby who was abandoned at one month.ā€ I want to see the day when that story becomes, ā€œthe young woman who overcame her beginning and became Dr. Esther.ā€

And Geoffrey? From a vulnerable baby at seven months old to this smiling young boy with dreams of becoming an engineer someday. ā¤ļø

We don't know everything their futures will hold.

But we know their beginnings do not have to determine their endings.

ā€œMy grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.ā€ — 2 Corinthians 12:9

So tonight, I simply say: Thank You, Lord.

Thank You for every year.

Thank You for every meal.

Thank You for every school day.

Thank You for every difficult season You carried us through.

And thank You for the grace to keep Rescuing. Nurturing. Raising.

Please keep praying for us—for more of that grace, more strength, more provision, and unwavering faith to keep holding on through it all. šŸ™ā¤ļø

One day, God willing, I hope to look back at these photographs again and see a doctor and an engineer standing where two vulnerable little babies once sat.

What a story that will be.

🌱 THE GROUND IS READY — NOW WE ARE BELIEVING FOR THE SEED

Another little corner of God’s Village is ready.

The land has been cleared and prepared, with one portion set aside for beans and another for maize. We had hoped to plant about two weeks ago, but we are still trusting God as we work toward getting the improved bean and maize seed needed to catch what remains of the planting season.

Last season’s harvest was not what we had hoped for, but farming teaches you something about faith—you prepare the ground again, you sow again, and you trust God for another harvest. 🌱

For us, this garden is more than an open piece of land. Every good harvest can become food on the table at God’s Village and another small step toward meeting some of the everyday needs here from what the land itself can produce.

So today, the ground waits for seed—and we keep believing. šŸ™

Please keep us in your prayers, that God will make a way for the seed in time, bless the rains, and give us a much better harvest this season.

ā€œThose who sow in tears shall reap in joy.ā€ — Psalm 126:5

One seed may look small in your hand, but planted in good ground, it carries the possibility of a harvest. ā¤ļøšŸŒ½šŸŒ±

🌿 SOME FOOTSTEPS BECOME PART OF THE STORY

Through the years, different people have walked through the gates of God’s Village—some for a day, some for a season, and some who have continued walking with us from afar.

I still remember when our friend Dr. Jason visited God’s Village. As he entered, he removed his shoes and shared that he felt he was stepping onto holy ground. It was such a simple moment, but one that stayed with us.

So much has changed since these photographs were taken. Children have grown, new children have become part of the family, gardens have been planted, classrooms filled, meals served, prayers answered—and through many difficult seasons, the work has continued.

Yet the calling remains the same:

Rescue. Nurture. Raise.

God’s Village continues to be a place where vulnerable children are given more than somewhere to stay—a family, education, nourishment, discipleship, opportunity, and hope for tomorrow.

And perhaps this is one beautiful thing about the God’s Village story:

You do not have to have been here from the beginning to become part of what God is doing today. ā¤ļø

Some will visit, some will pray, some will give, and some will walk alongside a child or a project for years. Every journey can begin simply by allowing your heart to be touched.

šŸŒ And maybe one day, your own footsteps will find their way to God’s Village too.

The story is still being written—and there is room in it for you. šŸ™ā¤ļø
