This year The Deltona Foster Closet became aware of a need of backpacks for the children who are in the care of a relative or close family friend (kinship). As you may know with this type of care the caregivers rarely get financial assistance so money if often tight. I knew I wanted to do something but we are a small organization so I first set a goal of 10 to 20 backpacks. I created an Amazon wish list and gave the rest to God. I sent the list out and within 24 hours I already received 4 backpacks! (You have to love Amazon) Today I am happy to say we were able to collect 25 backpacks! When Gods children work together there isn’t anything you can’t do. Thank you to all who donated and made this successful.

Put together a care package for a precious baby boy with medical needs. I know first hand how difficult being a foster parent is but being a medical foster parent takes difficult to a whole new level. I was just humbled and just want to say to all the medical foster parents God Bless you and thank you. This little man is in great hands!!

Three care packages for a sibling group who came into care. Special shout to my church La Igelsia De Dios Pentecostal for the diapers. Such a blessing to be able to assist a selfless woman who took three children under the age of five when their house was already full. Without the donations this would not be possible.
