The Beautiful Gate Cancer Support & Resource Center is a non-profit organization that supports women in their health journey by providing programs and resources for breast cancer support, education, and screenings to vulnerable communities of color. The Beautiful Gate Cancer Support and Resource Center (TBG) a non-profit, culturally sensitive community organization was born from a desire to help
reduce late stage cancer diagnosis to women in medically underserved communities in the State of Florida and beyond. The Beautiful Gate is unique because of its founder, Pamela Burnett, who discovered that through her own fight with breast cancer there were no local resources for women of color. Burnett has been given a special gift in creating an environment of trust, confidence and reassurance that someone who has travelled the path truly understands and can navigate patients to appropriate resources in the medical maze. For over 15 years, The Beautiful Gate, under Pamela Burnettโs leadership has strategically established authentic relationships with health providers, faith leaders, institutes of higher learning and most importantly individuals infected or affected by a cancer diagnosis. These relationships continue to increase and have assisted The Beautiful Gate with removing barriers to quality education, treatment options, insurance, financial support and emotional stability. In 2021, The Beautiful Gate launched its newest project "A Perfect Fit" monthly grant writing ZOOM workshops and "Being A Woman" virtual breast cancer support group. OUR SERVICES:
- MASSยฉ PROGRAM is the signature breast health education program for the Florida Department of Health. We provide FREE* or low-cost Mammograms for UNINSURED women in Florida through the Mary Brogan Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. - BEING A WOMAN ONLINE BREAST CANCER SUPPORT GROUP meets on the last Thursday of each month via Zoom at 7pm. Led by a Licensed Therapist, our support group is open to anyone newly diagnosed with cancer, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers/family members.
