CONVICTION IN CHILD SEXUAL BATTERY CASE

Jean Fleurane, was convicted of Familial or Custodial S*xual Battery and Lewd or Lascivious Molestation, following a two-day jury trial in Lee County.

Assistant State Attorney Stephen Hawley, of the Special Victims Unit (SVU), prosecuted the case.

In 2025, the victim told law enforcement about being molested by the defendant throughout almost a decade of their childhood. The crimes happened at a residence in Lehigh Acres.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crime Unit – SVU, began an investigation, leading to the arrest of the defendant.

Sentencing is scheduled for November 30, 2026.

🔴 Maylon Jesse Foshee, a 23-year-old young American, who was very popular among Haitians on social media, mainly because he speaks Haitian Creole very well, was arrested in Bossier Parish, Louisiana, on September 24, 2026, after an FBI investigation led to his activities. He used to do during his period as a missionary in Haiti, especially on how he used to behave with some minors.

During the investigation, the FBI interviewed several children and other witnesses to gather information about the case. Federal agents also examined Foshee's travel records and other elements of evidence that could help verify what exactly happened during his period working in Haiti. Following this investigation, a federal criminal complaint has been filed against Maylon Foshee, where he is accused of sexually abusing a minor while on a mission in Haiti.

According to documents, a preliminary hearing and hearing on his arrest are scheduled for Sept. 29, 2026 in Shreveport, Louisiana. For now, these remain accusations, because the court has not yet made a judgment on his guilt.
