🌈📚Thank you to the Lansdowne Farmers Market for hosting us today! We gave away hundreds of children’s books, met amazing local families, vendors, and teachers, and had a wonderful time connecting with the community.

Thank you to our local library system, BookSmiles, our volunteers, donors, and our supporters. We could not do what we do without the community surrounding us.

A special thank you to Dolly Parton and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, whose work has inspired millions of children, along with the grownups doing the hard work that makes this project possible. We miss and will always love you Dolly! 🦋

This Saturday, we’ll be back at the Lansdowne Farmers Market giving children the opportunity to choose free books to take home.

We’ll also be doing our small part to honor the life and legacy of Dolly Parton, whose belief that every child deserves the opportunity to discover the joy of reading has inspired millions of children around the world.

We’ll have a special memorial display at our tent, butterflies throughout our setup, and information about how you can support Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and help carry her work forward.

We hope you’ll stop by, pick out a few books, and help us celebrate Dolly’s incredible legacy in the best way we know how: putting books into the hands of children.

Dolly Parton helped millions of children find a love of reading through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. She represents the best of what this country can be. Dolly grew up in extreme poverty, worked hard, kept a positive attitude, and made an immense impact on the world. As massive as her talent was, her heart was bigger. She will be missed.

📚📚📚Free Children's Books Coming to the Lansdowne Farmers Market!📚📚📚

We're excited to share that we'll be at the Lansdowne Farmers Market on Saturday, August 29th, bringing hundreds of children's books to local families - completely free!

Families are invited to stop by, browse, and choose books to take home. Whether your child is just starting to read, discovering new stories, or ready for their next adventure, we want to help make sure that they have great books to do it with.

There is no cost, no need to register, and children are welcome to choose as many books as they'd like to read.

We are so excited to be teaming up with Delco Book Bank to offer a block pool for the Philadelphia Eagles home opener against the Washington Commanders on 9/13.

Each block is $10, with prizes being awarded for each quarter. Earnings will be split between Delco Book Bank and Delco Books for a Brighter Start, with both using the funds to bring more books to local kids in the coming months.

📚📚📚 We had so much fun at today’s Community Day!

Despite the unexpected downpour, it was amazing to see kids get excited about being able to choose their own books. We also had the opportunity to pass along books to an Early Head Start program, and we’re thrilled that they’ll be used to help stock classrooms and put even more books into the hands of young readers. 📚

We’re only able to do this because of the incredible support of our community. Thank you to all of our local supporters, our local library system, and our friends at BookSmiles, all of whom help make these events possible.

We’re also incredibly grateful for our volunteers, who work so hard to serve the communities we’re part of. ❤️
