Looking for a pathway to a career in manufacturing?

The Welcoming Center in Philadelphia is hosting the MOCA (Manufacturing Opportunities for Career Advancement) program, a free, 6-week, in-person job training program designed to help immigrants prepare for full-time manufacturing jobs in Philadelphia.

Participants will build hands-on skills, earn industry certifications including OSHA 10 and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and can earn up to $960 during training. Job placement assistance is also provided after the program.

🥒 The cucumbers are coming in! 🌿

Our Cultivating Justice Garden has produced plenty of fresh cucumbers this week, and we're excited to share them with our community! Stop by Media Fellowship House and check our free produce box while supplies last.

Looking for a simple way to enjoy them? Try this refreshing Cucumber & Parsley Salad using fresh parsley from the garden!

🥗 Easy Cucumber & Parsley Salad

2–3 cucumbers, thinly sliced
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice (or white vinegar)
Salt and pepper to taste

Toss everything together, chill for 15–20 minutes, and enjoy! It's the perfect light side dish for a summer meal.
