We are FIRST Robotics team 4575, Team Gemini. We are a community-based team that supports students in our area regardless of school district or zip code. Because we are a community team, we depend strictly on donations, grants, and registration fees to survive. We pay for our own rent, supplies, utilities, tools, and transportation.
Two weeks ago, our trailer, that we use to get our supplies and robot to competition, was stolen. It was removed at 2:30 AM from the mall our shop is in. Cameras caught the truck stealing our trailer, but no plate can be located.
The trailer also stored our truss system "pit" for when we go to competition. Both of these items were paid for by extensive fundraising over the years. We do not have the funds to replace these items.
We are asking you to consider donating to us so that we may begin to repurchase these items. We realize that we may not get a truss pit again, but being without the trailer is rough. We would replace our trailer with a used one, but we desperately do need a trailer.
Our kids work very hard year-round not only on their own program but also mentoring younger children and volunteering in the community. Losing this trailer is a knockdown, but not a knockout. We hope you can help us.
