Monday was our June business meeting. Always a great time of fellowship and great show-n-tell. We gave Linda a presidents quilt for her years of leadership, and voted in our new board. Thank you to our previous board for all you did to help grow our guild and its vision for the future. We also went over our projects for the upcoming 4H classes.

Today we take the time to celebrate a long time member of our guild. Eileen Vendetti passed away a couple of days ago. She was a retired Walmart employee who worked many years along side Margie (another member we lost last year) in the Walmart fabric & crafts dept. She was also active in her church. Eileen had a heart for our Sunshine committee, and wrote and mailed many, many cards for fellow members and their families. She also volunteered with our 4H sewing classes and guild events. We have missed her over this past year as her health declined. Enjoy these pictures we found. ❤️

Yesterday was our March workshop and we had the pleasure of having Janet Hughes from Tallahassee come in for a trunk show. Janet belongs to the Tallahassee guild and is a storyteller quilter (my words, not hers). Every quilt she showed had a special memory or story of her life. So inspirational, entertaining and amazing to see her quilts come to life. We also had a couple of show-n-tells from Debbie W. We said goodbye to our snowbirds until next year and had a wonderful potluck! What a great day 😊
