💙🤍 Happy Boss’s Day, Dr. Hildebran! 🤍💙

Dr. Hildebran has been such a blessing to Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy! We are so thankful for the wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and experience he brings to PRCA as we continue to grow and move forward in the direction God has called us to go.

Leading a school is no small task, and we are grateful for the dedication, guidance, and heart he pours into helping PRCA continue to grow and fulfill its mission. It is exciting to see what God has in store for our school, and we are thankful to have leadership that helps guide us along the way.

Thank you, Dr. Hildebran, for all you do for PRCA, our students, our families, and our staff! We appreciate your leadership and are grateful for the role you play in helping shape the future of our school. May God continue to bless you and give you wisdom as you lead!

Our secondary students have been diving into the fascinating world of ocean life! From crabs and jellyfish to sea stars, starfish, and other incredible marine animals, our students have been learning fun educational facts about these unique creatures and the habitats they call home. 🐠🪸

To bring their learning to life, students put their creativity to work by designing and creating habitats for their chosen ocean animals. They also challenged themselves to recall interesting facts about their creatures and share what they had learned. We love seeing them put their knowledge, creativity, and artistic talents together! 🎨🌊

Each creation is a reminder of the incredible detail, diversity, and beauty found in God’s creation. What a blessing it is to learn about His wonderful world while developing new skills and discovering new things!

At PRCA, learning is more than memorizing facts—it’s exploring, creating, and discovering the amazing world God made!

🐛🦎 Learning About Metamorphosis at PRCA! 🦋🐸

We were excited to welcome Mr. Knothe to PRCA as he brought along some fun animals and critters for our students to observe and learn about! Our students enjoyed getting an up-close look at some of God’s amazing creations while discovering more about the world around us. 🌿🔍

Part of our lesson focused on metamorphosis—the incredible process of how some living things change and transform into something completely different. We talked about how a tiny caterpillar can become a beautiful butterfly and how God designed these creatures with such amazing purpose! 🐛➡️🦋

What a beautiful reminder that God is the Creator of all things, and His creation is full of wonder, purpose, and beauty. Just as He designed creatures to transform, He is also continually working in our lives, helping us grow and become who He created us to be. ❤️

Learning beyond the classroom!

The excitement is growing as the forestry team is preparing for district competition! Mr. Sewell came out again to teach the students more about timber cruising. This involves taking a specialized “yard stick” called a Biltmore Stick to measure the diameter and useable height of the tree. These measurements are used to determine how much of the tree can be used in wood products like telephone poles, fence boards, and paper. This not only prepares the students for the FFA forestry Career Development Event but also introduces the students to careers such as forestry and logging.

Please pray for these students as they travel to Ponce De Leon State Park for the competition on October 8th!

Mrs. King’s first graders had a hands-on learning experience as they carved a pumpkin and explored all the amazing details God placed inside it!

As they investigated their pumpkin, students learned about its parts, seeds, texture, color, shape, and how pumpkins grow. They used their senses, made observations, asked questions, and discovered that even something as simple as a pumpkin is wonderfully designed by our Creator!

What a fun way to connect science, creativity, and faith while learning about the incredible world God made!

🦊🌿 Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🌿🦅

Our 6th–9th grade students had an amazing field trip to the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center! What a wonderful opportunity to step outside the classroom and experience science up close!

Our students enjoyed encounters with armadillos, foxes, possums, hawks, bobcats, and a variety of reptiles, while learning more about their habitats, behaviors, adaptations, and important roles within our ecosystems. 🐾🦎

Hands-on experiences like these allow our students to see what they’ve been learning in science come to life! We are so thankful for the opportunity to explore, ask questions, and appreciate the incredible diversity found in God’s creation. 🌎💙

We want to give a big thank you to Mark Bird for coming out and giving a demonstration on common tools. Mr. Bird is the owner at Aquatechs LLC Marine and Ornamental Construction who build docks, seawalls, and boats lifts for clients based in Walton County. Mr. Bird brings over 20 years of specialized construction experience to share with our students.

This demonstration not only gives the students basic knowledge of tools, but also prepares them for the FFA Tool Identification Career Development Event. These demonstrations help bridge the gap between the classroom and real world careers.

🎨 Art Class in Action! 🎨

Our students are practicing their drawing skills and learning that great artwork takes patience, practice, and perseverance!

Today, they focused on developing their observation skills, details, proportions, and creativity as they worked through their drawings.

We love watching our students grow in confidence as they discover that art is not just about creating a picture, it’s about learning to see, create, and express themselves in unique ways!
