Today, the Walton County and DeFuniak Springs Queens had the opportunity to visit the Pregnancy Support Center and deliver donations collected for local mothers and babies.

During our visit, we learned more about the resources, support, and encouragement the center provides to families in our community. It was inspiring to see firsthand how many lives are impacted through their services.

A special thank you to everyone who donated diapers, wipes, clothing, bottles, and baby essentials. Because of your generosity, we were able to deliver a wonderful collection of items that will help support families right here in Walton County.

It was especially rewarding to watch our younger queens learn the importance of serving others and giving back to the community.

This month, Elevated YOU is honored to spotlight Firestone . Owned by Shane and Holley Abbott, we are grateful for their generous support of our mission to empower and encourage young girls throughout Walton County.đź’ś

Because of community partners like them, we are able to place confidence kits into the hands of girls with reminders that they are capable, worthy, and stronger than they realize. Their willingness to invest in the next generation shows that confidence grows when a community comes together to support its youth.

Shane, Holley and their amazing staff demonstrate the values of hard work, integrity, and service every day. They understand that making a difference isn’t always about grand gestures—sometimes it’s about simply showing up, giving back, and believing in others.

Pageantry is about so much more than titles and crowns—it’s about the confidence, skills, and opportunities that stay with you long after your reign ends. Today, we are honored to feature former Miss DeFuniak Springs 2018, Caslyn Cole, whose pageant journey helped prepare her for success both on and off the stage.

✨ In her own words:

Pageantry played a huge role in shaping who I am today. Growing up, I was very shy, but competing gave me the confidence to step outside of my comfort zone and find my voice. I especially loved on-stage questions and interviews, which taught me how to think on my feet, communicate professionally, and carry myself with confidence. Those skills helped prepare me for important interviews, including my acceptance into Auburn University’s Harrison College of Pharmacy, where I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Pharmacy degree and will graduate in 2028.

I was honored to hold several titles throughout my pageant journey, with my final title being Miss DeFuniak Springs 2018. While the crowns were special, the confidence and life skills I gained will always be the greatest reward.

This was more than just presenting a check, it was about watching a young girl realize that she has the ability to make a difference.

One of my favorite parts of Elevated YOU is watching confidence take root. Confidence doesn’t always have to be loud. Sometimes it grows quietly when a girl discovers that her voice matters, her ideas have value, and her heart can impact others.

Standing beside Jocelyn, I saw exactly that.

What looked like a simple act of giving was really something much bigger—a young leader stepping forward to serve others and realizing the difference she can make in the world around her.

Jocelyn, thank you for sharing your heart and for reminding us that age does not determine impact. Your kindness, compassion, and willingness to help others are already creating waves that reach farther than you know.

The future is brighter because of young girls like you!

The most incredible part of this journey has been seeing these sweet girls face’s light up when they receive their Confidence Kit! Those moments remind me that confidence blooms from small moments-feeling seen, heard, and understood.

Thanks to the generosity of local sponsors, community partners, and donors, Elevated YOU was able to place 65 Confidence Kits into the hands of Walton County girls during the month of May alone! đź‘Ź

That brings our total to 115 Confidence Kits distributed throughout Walton County since launching this initiative. Confidence Kits are a reminder to each beautiful girl that she is capable, worthy, and has something unique inside of her! Each item is intended to remind these girls that they already have all of the tools to be Confident. đź’ś

Seeing how much Elevated YOU has grown has truly been such a blessing! I have seen smiles that light up rooms, chances being taken, and so many new connections growing. Through your support, you have shown me the true meaning of community and what incredible things come from working together to encourage future generations of young women!

This month, we are so excited to spotlight Jocelyn Somerset, our May Confident YOU! đź’śđź‘‘

At just seven years old, Jocelyn is stepping boldly into a brand new challenge as she prepares for her very first post-preliminary pageant—the National Peanut Festival Pageant! Taking on something new can be both exciting and challenging, which is exactly why Jocelyn is such a beautiful example of confidence in action.

Surrounded by a large family who loves and supports her every step of the way, Jocelyn is learning that confidence grows when life’s special moments are shared with the people who cheer you on. She loves practicing for pageants, attending events with her sister queens, and taking time to encourage and support her friends along the way.

What makes Jocelyn especially inspiring is that she is not only learning to believe in herself, but also to cheer for others as they succeed. That is the heart of true confidence. đź’ś

She is also proudly representing her very own community service initiative, Jocelyn’s Waves of Care, showing that even at a young age, confidence and compassion can make a beautiful impact.

One of my favorite parts of Elevated YOU is getting to pour into younger girls like Jocelyn through mentorship, encouragement, and shared moments that help build confidence from the inside out.

I am so proud to have Jocelyn as my Little Miss Walton County this year, and cannot wait to watch her continue to grow in confidence and discover just how capable she truly is. The future is so bright for this sweet girl! ✨💜
