The Town of Dedham is seeking two residents to join the Core Team for the Norwood-Dedham-Milton Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Update (MVP 2.0). As a Community Liaison, you’ll help assess climate resilience priorities and translate them into local action.

About the Community Liaison Role:
➡️ Explore climate resilience in Dedham and surrounding areas, considering climate change impacts and social, environmental, and economic factor
➡️ Engage with community members to identify actions that increase resilience
➡️ Help update Dedham’s priorities and develop a project that supports climate resilience
➡️ Participate in regular meetings and organize community engagement activities (such as events, surveys, social media outreach)

For serving in this role, you will get:
✅️ $3,200 honorarium for 9 months of work (October 2026 – June 2027, approx. 80 hours total) - Paid for through State Grant for MVP 2.0 Planning
✅️ Develop new skills in climate communication
✅️ Help to impact and influence Dedham’s climate resilience investments

Scout the Wonder Dog here. Today I had a visit to World’s End in Hingham-a Trustees of the Reservation property. Not much color in the trees yet, but hope to return soon as foliage season comes our way. We used a museum pass from the Dedham Public Library that was provided by the Friends of the Dedham Library. Covered the cost of parking.

Scout the wonder dog here. My humans took me to Cat Rock in Weston for another open space walking adventure. This place gets a five paw review! Great trails, brook and a pond, met some new fur friends to run with! Great morning retreat. Just a note, parking open to non Weston residents only during the week.

Just a note to our - we normally hold our monthly meetings on the last Thursday of the month, but with so many already vacationing before Labor Day, we decided to skip this month. Thursday Oct 1st will be our next meeting - special Water edition meeting!
