Adams County families with children in Pre K through 8th grade (during the 2026-2027 school year) who are experiencing financial hardships can now apply for The Clothe a Kid Program.

Please fill out a separate application for EACH child. Child must be ENTERING INTO PRE K THROUGH GOING INTO 8TH GRADE. No incoming high school student applications will be accepted. The United Way of Adams County will be accepting applications for 2026 funding. We will be using a similar application process that we used last year. This will help the committee and donors better see how their money is being used to provide programs and services that “improve health, human and social conditions in Adams County.”
Distribution of application forms will take place at meetings held at the United Way office, 218 E. Monroe Street. (Attendance is mandatory to receive funding.) Meetings will last for approximately 45 minutes. Please call the United Way office at (260) 728-2056 to schedule which of the following times you will attend:
Tuesday , February 10, 2026 meetings will be held at 10 am, 11:30 am and 1 pm.

IT'S HERE. Angel Tree 2025. The 2025 Angel Tree is sponsored by The United Way of Adams County/FOP/Salvation Army. There is NOT a separate application for Shop with a Cop. Below is application:

Please fill out an application for EACH child. CHILD MUST RESIDE IN ADAMS COUNTY. Child must be from the age of 0 through 8th grade.
Before your application is approved, you must ring bells for Salvation Army at either Kroger or Walmart in Decatur. You must ring for one hour per child. To sign up to ring bell, please call our office at (260) 728-2056. If you complete this and the application is approved, the United Way/FOP/Salvation Army will send a letter to your address provided with acceptance, present pick up and other details. All applications are due by November 24, 2025. No late applications will be accepted. We will not exchange sizes so please provide correct information.
