🍀The Indiana 4-H Animal Identification deadline is May 15th! DNA hair samples and animal leases are also due to your local Purdue Extension Office by May 15th.
🏆To be eligible for your county fair and the Indiana State Fair, your animals must be completely and correctly identified in Indiana 4-H Online (in.4honline.com) by the end of the day on Friday, May 15, 2026.
❗As a reminder, DNA hair samples are required for all swine, sheep, meat goats, dairy cattle, and beef cattle to be eligible for exhibition at the Indiana State Fair 4-H Show. DNA hair samples are due in the County Extension Office by May 15th. Animal identification requirements can be found at purdue.ag/4HAnimalIDRequirements.
🌟 We have also created the Indiana 4-H Animal Identification landing site for helpful resources, including step by step 4-H Online Animal ID and DNA sample collection instructions: purdue.ag/4HAnimalID.

✨ Meet Our New Extension Educator! ✨

Hi Adams County! I’m Ashlyn Jackson, and I’m excited to be serving as your new 4-H Youth Development Educator with Purdue Extension.

Before relocating to Indiana, I was an Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor in Kentucky. In the classroom and through FFA, I had the privilege of watching students grow in leadership, confidence, and real-world skills. I’ve seen and experienced firsthand the lasting impact organizations like 4-H can have on young people.

I’m excited to continue that same mission in a new way through Extension and 4-H, supporting youth and families across our county through hands-on learning and meaningful opportunities.

Grateful to be here and looking forward to a great year ahead 💚🍀
