Boys & Girls Clubs of Decatur, IL

09/21/2026

Hello, Facebook family and friends!

I need your help spreading the word. Today, the Boys & Girls Club of Decatur is launching an alumni campaign as part of our Open the Doors. Change a Life. $750K Campaign.

Many former Club members have shared that the Club saved their lives and helped shape them into the people they are today. Now, we are asking our alumni to help us give that same life-changing experience to the next generation.

The Club saved us. Now we need to save the Club.

Our goal is to inspire 1,000 former Club members to give $250 each to help us reopen our doors and continue serving the youth of Decatur.

You can donate at any local First Mid Bank or visit bgcdecatur.org and click Donate. Even if you are not a Club alumnus, you can help by donating and sharing this post so we can reach as many former Club members as possible. Together, we can reopen the doors and change more lives!

Hello Facebook Family & Friends!

I’m Niki Fenderson, and I have stepped into the role of Volunteer Interim CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Decatur. I’m honored to serve our organization and, most importantly, our children and families.

We need YOUR help to reopen the doors of the Boys & Girls Club later this fall. Our fundraising goal is $750,000, and every dollar brings us one step closer to getting our Club back open and serving our community.

Yesterday, we were blessed to be the recipient of a $1,000 We Are One Community Working Families Grant! We are incredibly grateful to the individuals, businesses, organizations, and community partners who have supported us thus far.
We are making progress, but we still have a long way to go.

Our community needs the Boys & Girls Club of Decatur. Every dollar counts. Every donation makes a difference. Every act of support helps us get closer to reopening our doors. You can make a donation at any local FirstMid Bank or by using the link below.

Please consider giving, sharing this post, and encouraging others to support our mission. Let’s get our kids back in the Club!
