Our comfort dogs are often put in situations that require high levels of trust between the handler and the dog. Overstimulation and the fear of the new environments can lead to stress. We work hard in our training sessions to expose our dogs to a variety of situations to help them learn more about the world and build trust between the handler and dog.

Our advanced training sessions today included a dock, a boat, sunny skies, and some hard working volunteers. Thank you to our friend Paula for allowing us to use your boat and dock for training. Developing that bond and trust in a controlled environment under the direction of our head trainer helps prepare our K9s on how to properly handle stressful situations. We are beaming with pride over the hard work our volunteers put in to ensure their pups are well prepared to serve in our community.
Come to TAILGATE at PawPrint Ministries on September 19th to meet many of our comfort dog teams and support our outreach!
