It has been a wonderful 46 years since our charter was given its blessing. DAV Chapter 70 has been assisting veterans and their families in Wise County for 46 years and we are still going strong. Thank you to our members, volunteers, community and veterans. We are so honored to be a part of our community!

Pumpkins, Cookies, Cupcakes OH MY!

Chapter 70 and Auxiliary members collaborated with Decatur Medical Lodge for our Monthly Veterans Mixer. We had a wonderful time at the October Fall Mini Fest. We decorated cookies, painted pumpkins, shared in sweet treats and laughter.

Thank you to all who make these monthly mixers possible. This truly builds community connection. Join us the 2nd Friday of each month!

We kicked off our celebration of 46 years as a chartered Chapter in Decatur, Texas.

Wow, 46 years of serving veterans in Wise County. October 13th is our official birthday, however, everyone loves cake! Let's Recap!

Last year, our Direct Assistance Grants hit over $5,500. We are proud of our service to veterans and their families, our members for their continued dedication and our community.

We contine to live the DAV Mission each day with proud service to our veterans. We never forget our Fallen Comrades who built the path for a legacy for our Chapter and look forward to our continued growth in the future.

Art 4 Vets is designed to highlight veterans who take their experiences, the good, the bad, the ugly and share their story through art.

Guests participated in our Collaborative Legacy Mural. This designs a unified piece symbolizing community and support for veterans.

We all have a story in us. Be bold, Be you and sharee your journey, it is worth expressing. Let's get creative and remember we own our stories. Our experiences builds our strength and passion for our next chapter.

We are saddened to hear of Jesse Garcia passing. Jesse had a huge heart for veterans, service and DAV. We mourn for the loss of our dear friend and comrade. He will deeply be missed across Texas.

5th Annual Su***de Awareness Walk + 5K

We conquered the Walk + 5K in Memory of our Brothers and Sisters who lost their struggle and for the ones continuing the fight each day.

Thank you to Center for Emotional Wellness for your amazing Community Partnership. We are so blessed to be a part of this event for 5 years now.

The inspiring work they do in our County is incredible. Great job to the whole Team! We even saw a few friends from up the road VFW Post 10374 Avondale Heights, Texas and WCCA - Meals On Wheels Wise County
