It looks like fun. It is fun. But watch closely because what’s really happening out there goes so much deeper than the track.

We put active-duty military, veterans, and first responders behind the wheel and something shifts. Strangers become brothers and sisters through shared adrenaline and experiences.

Noise fades and dor a lot of our heroes, this is the first time in a long time they’ve felt fully like themselves…focused, alive, and in control.

And in those moments, they’re reminded of something bigger: that they matter, that they belong, and that they are not forgotten.

You can make it happen. Every donation and every sponsored seat puts a hero on this track and into a community that truly gets it. Learn more at horsepower4heroes.org

Today marks the start of and we couldn’t be more proud to support another incredible veteran out in Moab!

Meet Jonathan Starner. Born and raised in Ohio, Jonathan joined the Air Force in 1998 and dedicated over two decades of service to this country. Throughout his career, he served in Security Forces, the Command and Control Center, and vehicle maintenance before retiring in 2024. During a break in service, he also spent time working in the oil fields.

Today, Jonathan lives in Utah with his wife and two dogs while continuing to serve in a new way at , where he manages a team for the base command center.

We’re honored to have Jonathan with us this week and grateful for the sacrifices he and so many others have made.

This is what is all about — building community, creating experiences, and giving back to those who’ve served

Our last Hero to round the weekend out is Tim Tracy.

Tim Tracy grew up in Burnsville, Minnesota, where his passion for the outdoors—hockey, dirt bikes, and mud trucks—shaped his early life. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1997, rising to Sergeant in four years while serving as an Engineer Equipment Operator and leading large teams, including wildfire response operations.

After his service, he earned a degree in landscape architecture and an MBA from UTA. Following a 12-year career in operations leadership, he returned to heavy equipment work as a crane operator. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Tim stays active coaching youth hockey and serving his community.

Our next Hero we’d like to recognize and will be taking part in our Hero Weekend starting tomorrow is Chad Jones.

A Kentucky native, Chad Jones joined the Marine Corps in 2010 as a radio and satellite repair technician and competed on the Marine Corps professional paintball team. Following significant injuries in 2014, he recovered with the Wounded Warrior Battalion, eventually earning gold in rifle and pistol at the Warrior Games.

Since medically retiring in 2016, Chad has focused on veteran advocacy through off-roading and outdoor experiences, specifically via the IGY6 Rescue Truck project. Drawing on his expertise in fabrication, gunsmithing, and psychology, he remains dedicated to rebuilding his nonprofit vision and serving the veteran community.
