We're excited to kick off a NEW Wise County 4-H Leadership & Livestock Project Group, and we want YOUR input!

Whether you're a first-year exhibitor trying to figure out where to start or a seasoned showman looking to take your project to the next level, this group is for YOU!

We're taking the livestock project beyond the show ring and focusing on the things that help make successful exhibitors AND great leaders! 💚

🐮 Selecting the right project animal
💰 Budgeting and understanding the REAL costs
🐷 Daily care, feeding, and management
🏆 Showmanship, preparation, and sportsmanship
🍀 Leadership, friendships, and life skills beyond the barn

And the best part? YOU help decide what we cover! We want to build this group around the questions, interests, species, and goals of our 4-H members!

The livestock project is about so much more than show day—and we want to help our members make the most of it!

Join us for our Leadership & Livestock Project Interest Meeting, hosted by Decatur 4-H member Lynnleigh Read! Lynnleigh will help lead the conversation as we take a look at the whole livestock project—from selecting an animal to stepping into the show ring with confidence.

Calling all Wise County 4-H foodies! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 The deadline to enter the Wise County 4-H Food Challenge & Food Show is coming up!

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to solve a crime using forensic science? Here’s your chance!

Boyd 4-H and Wise County 4-H Ambassador Presley G. invite you to the Crime Solvers Academy! Presley will lead participants through a fun, hands-on workshop featuring a presentation, interactive games, activities, and even some take-home goodies while supplies last!

🦌 BEYOND THE SHOT IS BACK! 🦌

Join us for the District 3 4-H Youth Wildlife Management & Processing Field Day on Friday, November 13th in Jacksboro!

This isn’t your typical classroom program—we’re getting hands-on from start to finish! Participants will learn about Texas wildlife laws and stewardship, field dressing techniques, butchering, processing basics, and more. Youth will have the opportunity to field dress and butcher an axis doe AND learn about the live dispatch and processing of quail.
