Morgan County Child Advocacy Center

Morgan County Child Advocacy Center The purpose of the Morgan County CAC is to provide help and healing to children. The Morgan County Child Advocacy Center is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) agency.

The purpose of the Morgan County Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is to provide help and healing to children. Our vision is that no child who has experienced abuse will have to suffer in silence. The mission of the Morgan County Child Advocacy Center’s Multidisciplinary Team, which is comprised of the District Attorney and his staff, law enforcement, the Department of Human Resources, and medical and m

ental health providers, is to provide excellence in the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse. The CAC provides a safe and caring environment for children and their caregivers. The CAC provides services to children and adolescents who have been sexually abused, physically abused, and/or exposed to domestic violence. The Morgan County CAC has three main program areas which include forensic interviews and extended forensic interviews, victim advocacy, and therapy. The CAC is currently funded through grants and appropriations from the Alabama Department of Economic Affairs, the Alabama Network of Child Advocacy Centers, the National Children’s Alliance, United Way, the City of Decatur, the City of Hartselle, the Morgan County Commission, the Combined Federal Campaign, and donations by individuals and businesses. Community support is critical to the continued success and growth of the CAC.

Talking with teens about consent can be one of the most important conversations you have. 💙

Consent is about respect, communication, and understanding boundaries. By creating a safe space for open dialogue, parents and caregivers can help teens build healthy relationships and make informed decisions.

These conversations may feel challenging, but they help empower teens with the knowledge and confidence they need to navigate relationships safely and respectfully.

Is your child playing ROBLOX? While it can be a fun platform for creativity and social interaction, parents should be aware of potential risks. The best protection isn't just technology, it's ongoing conversations. Stay involved, stay informed, and help your child enjoy gaming safely!

Talking with children about their online experiences can help build trust, encourage honesty, and keep them safer online. Sometimes, simple questions can open the door to important discussions. Creating a safe, judgment-free space helps children feel more comfortable coming to you when they need support. Internet safety is a team effort, one that the Morgan County CAC is proud to be a part of!
