💛 Thank you.

Thursday evening at Flow Corinth Playing Field belonged to the families who filled it. We prayed, we danced, the children ate and played and went home with prizes — and a Soca Monarch turned up as a surprise.

To every family who came, to our 17 volunteers who gave their Thursday, and to the partners who made it possible — Legacy Dance Academy, Reel One Media, DJ Styley, Art By Bev, Kisha Joseph, Anysia Felix, FLOW, Grande Riviere Primary School, and our Ambassador Andrew Charles — thank you.

📝 Four minutes, one favour. Tell us how it went. What worked, what didn’t, what you’d change.

Porscha Castillo, LCSW — Trauma-Informed Children’s Wellness Specialist, SAFFRON Board Member

“Children are resilient and the heartbeat of the future. That’s why it’s imperative we all pour into them.”

On Thursday, Porscha joins me to lead our Emotional Wellness & Movement session — a gentle, guided moment for the whole family, and a chance for our children to feel what it means to be poured into.

Thursday, August 6, 5:00–7:30 PM at the FLOW Corinth Playing Field.

Meet the SAFFRON Team.

Andrew Charles — SAFFRON Ambassador, Saint Lucia

“I love the idea of helping people, especially kids. I believe that SAFFRON can change lives.”

Andrew is SAFFRON on the ground in Saint Lucia — the one who walks the field, meets the vendors, and makes sure everything is standing before the first family arrives.

On Thursday, look for him at Flow Corinth and say hello.

Meet the SAFFRON Team.

Vanessa Menal & Chrissa Menal
Mother and daughter, both dedicated educators with a deep love for children and a real passion for the work they do.

This is their first year volunteering with SAFFRON.

They share the same heart for teaching — though Chrissa’s personality shines through with her humour and outgoing charisma.

On Thursday, Chrissa will be with our children’s activities, and Vanessa will be part of the team keeping everything running.

Nickey Flavius — Refreshment Tent

“I believe in the work SAFFRON is doing — changing lives and building our kids toward a brighter future. That’s what made me join SAFFRON as a volunteer.”

Nickey is a bartender by trade, so he’ll be running our refreshment tent on Thursday. Come find him for water and juice.

Meet the SAFFRON Team.

Sadia Emmanuel — Team Lead

“This is my second year volunteering with SAFFRON. I volunteer because I believe every child should be exposed to the simple treasures that most take for granted. Just seeing the smiles on their innocent faces warms my heart and motivates me to do more to help our youth live a better, healthier life.”

Sadia leads our volunteer team on Thursday.

Meet the SAFFRON Team.
I’m a Registered Nurse, and I founded SAFFRON because I believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported.
Through music, movement, wellness, and community, we help children build confidence, resilience, and discover the strength that’s already within them.
On Thursday, August 6, from 5:00 to 7:30 PM, I’ll be at the FLOW Corinth Playing Field alongside our incredible team, doing what we love most — creating a safe, joyful space where children and families can learn, connect, and have fun.
I look forward to seeing you there! 🧡

mancipation Day. 🇱🇨
On this day in 1834, our ancestors were freed. What they carried through — and what they built after — is the reason we can gather at all.
That’s what Rhythm & Resilience means to us. Rhythm is how our people kept joy alive. Resilience is how they kept going.
This Thursday we bring both to the Flow Corinth Playing Field, for our children.
Happy Emancipation Day, Saint Lucia. 🧡
