This week, we had the opportunity to celebrate the Junior League of Morgan County and everything we have accomplished this year at our annual May Party. What an incredible night reflecting on the impact we have made together throughout our community.
This year, we were honored to donate $7,500 to the Morgan County Child Advocacy Center to support their forensic interview room. This contribution will make a meaningful impact for children and families across Morgan County.
We were also proud to donate $2,000 to PACT - Parents and Children Together, an incredible organization dedicated to providing resources to children and families in our community who may otherwise go without. Their work is truly vital to Morgan County.
In addition, we donated 1,000 hygiene kits to Clothe Our Kids of North Alabama. This summer, our members will have the opportunity to assemble these kits to help provide essential hygiene items to children and families in need throughout our area. It truly is amazing what they do for our community.
We also had the privilege of recognizing some incredible women within our organization.
Our Sustainer of the Year, Magan Garner, has made a tremendous impact on the Junior League of Morgan County. Along with her vision, dedication and another amazing member Leah Ferguson, the Fore the Kids Golf Classic would not be what it is today.
Our Mary Liz Beaton Award recipient, Kathleen Palmer, has continuously gone above and beyond to make a lasting impact in both our League and our community. She is truly inspirational with all she has done this past year and we couldn’t be more grateful.
We also celebrated five years with two of our members, Beth Johnson and Jen Lombardi. We are so thankful for all they have done for Junior League and for our community throughout their time with us. We are so proud of you and your commitment to JLMC!
We also recognized our Provisionals of the Year: Karen Fuqua, Sarah Faulk, and Molly Ann Kluck. These women have dedicated so much time, hard work, and passion this year and have truly stepped into their roles within the Junior League of Morgan County. We could not be more proud to have them on our team.
In addition, we reflected our year with our wonderful president, Kelsey Hensley. We are so thankful for your guidance and leadership this past year. We are proud of you and your accomplishments for the 2025-2026 year.
We are excited to officially welcome Rachel Keenum as our new President for the 2026-2027 year. We are incredibly thankful for her willingness to step into this leadership role, and we cannot wait to see where this next year takes us with someone as astounding as her leading the way.
It has been an amazing year, and we cannot wait to see what 2026-2027 has in store for us. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission and help us make a difference in Morgan County. 💙
