Our Chamber Commodores met today at the Decatur Fire & Rescue Training Center to hear from Fire Chief Nathan Springer and Deputy Fire Marshal Lt. Brandon Sivley about their work serving our community. Thank you both for spending time with us and answering our questions!

Congratulations to Britney Green with Mid-South Testing on being named our October Commodore of the Month! 🎉

Our approximately 50 volunteer ambassadors help new members feel welcome, get to know fellow members and find ways to get involved. We appreciate the time and care they put into building relationships throughout our Chamber community! The Chamber Commodore Program is presented by Redstone Federal Credit Union.

✂️ Congratulations to the team at Long-Lewis of Decatur on today’s ribbon cutting at their Kia location!

Long-Lewis has welcomed the Kia and GMC locations on Highway 31 into its automotive family, bringing more than 100 years of experience, Southern hospitality and a commitment to offering its best price up front, no hidden fees and non-commissioned sales. We enjoyed celebrating this exciting milestone with their team and look forward to another celebration once renovations at GMC are complete!

And we’re off! 🎉 The Chamber’s 2026 Total Resource Campaign (TRC) kicked off last night at Decatur Morgan County Tourism!

Our TRC volunteers came ready to learn, connect and hit the ground running as they help Chamber members discover opportunities to get their businesses in front of local audiences. And of course, we had a little fun along the way! Volunteers took a turn in the Cash Cube, grabbing leads and getting the campaign started with some friendly competition. 💰

Now through November 4, Chamber members can secure marketing opportunities for 2027. From Golf Classic teams and community events to education and workforce initiatives, there are plenty of ways to put your Chamber investment to work. Ready to see what opportunities are available for your business? Connect with a TRC volunteer or call the Chamber at 256-353-5312.

Thank you to our member 48 News for stopping by to talk with Chamber President & CEO Reggie Ash about why he’s excited to be part of our community and lead our Chamber!

Reggie has enjoyed getting to know our members and community partners, and we’re excited about what we can accomplish together.

Decatur’s new chamber of commerce president spent the last 12 years in Colorado Springs leading defense, aerospace and cybersecurity development, adding another connection between the two communities as U.S. Space Command transitions to Huntsville.
