Due to ongoing roof repairs, some piping connected to the HVAC system that helps regulate temperatures in the pool area had to be removed. As a result, temperatures in the pool area have become unsafe during the hottest parts of the day.

To ensure the safety of our members and staff, both the Lap Pool and Family Pool will close early on the following date:

Thursday, October 15: Pools will close at 1:30 PM.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these necessary repairs. The safety and well-being of our members and staff remain our top priority.

We had a wonderful time participating in Saturday’s 5Kings Charity Golf Cart Poker Run! As one of this year’s beneficiaries, the Decatur Family YMCA was proud to be part of a super fun and unique event that brought so many people together.

A special thank you to Buffalo Wild Wings and Diamonds & Yolk for welcoming us, DJ David Lee for providing the music, The Dough Bro Bakery for the delicious treats, and our volunteers who helped make our stops so much fun for families!

We’re especially grateful to 5Kings Charity, the event sponsors, and everyone who participated for their generosity and commitment to making a difference right here in our community.

The gators kicked off their season by hosting their first meet, and there was excellence both in and out of the water! From some awesome swims and big performances from our Gators, to the incredible volunteers who helped make the meet run smoothly.

The season is just getting started and we can’t wait to see where the gators go from here. Keep swimming, keep improving, and GO GATORS!

Congratulations to our October Members of the Month, Yashwant and Prem Chandra!

Yashwant and Prem have been part of the Decatur Family YMCA for many years, dating back to when the Y was located downtown! Their continued support and loyalty mean so much to our Y family.

This sweet couple has a special way of making our staff feel like family, and we are so grateful to have them as part of our YMCA community.
