One of the interactive courses offered is "Becoming an Inventor," a series of games that introduces the invention process and gets young people excited to invent. Last month, we were delighted to attend and sponsor the Black Inventors Hall of Fame (BIHOF) Induction Ceremony. Among the honorees were descendants of historic innovators, seven current industry leaders and Eniola Shokunbi who received the Young Innovator Award.

It was an incredible evening filled with inspiration and impact. As BIHOF stated, “What unfolded was more than a ceremony — it was a landmark gathering that affirmed the enduring impact of Black creativity on the world and set a new standard for how innovation is celebrated.”

We’re excited to continue our partnership with BIHOF to recognize, celebrate, support and inspire the next generation of inventors who are creating a better future for us all. Congratulations to this year’s inductees into the Black Inventors Hall of Fame! 🎉

It's National Dog Day! 🐾 To mark this special day, we're highlighting five youth inventors who created inventions to help dogs and other pets.

🐶 Cecily invented Pet Perfection, a mobile bed for animals with mobility limitations.

🐕 Nyah invented the Dog Hydration Checker, a collar to detect dehydration in dogs.

🐩 Elyse invented ThermoPaw, a harness to monitor a pet's temperature for safety.

🐶 Olive & Lilly invented Delicioso, a calming and edible soap for dogs.

Meet Jena, one of our awesome summer interns who has been helping us with social media and other marketing projects to promote awareness for ICW and inHub programming! 👏🤩

This summer we had the privilege of working with several outstanding interns who helped us with a variety of programming and projects. Today we’re recognizing Jena Samson! 📷

As the inHub Marketing Intern, Jena has helped us create video content and social media posts for programs such as Invention Convention U.S. Nationals, Educators-in-Residence and THF Summer Camp. She’s also been working on marketing plans for the ICW Alumni Program and social media posts to help promote Model i. Jena’s favorite part of the internship has been getting to be on campus and walking around Greenfield Village and the museum – and the coffee in Plum Market. ☕ Great work, Jena! 👏
