What an incredible evening!

A heartfelt thank you to Pastors Jose and Michelle and the amazing men at Victory House for welcoming me into your meeting to share about the Getting Ahead program at ReNew Recovery Café.

From the moment I walked in, I felt the warmth and hospitality. The home was beautiful—spacious, clean, and incredibly welcoming. More importantly, it was evident that this is a place where lives are being rebuilt, hope is being restored, and community is thriving.

It was an honor to introduce Getting Ahead and share how it can help individuals move beyond surviving and begin building the future they envision for themselves.

Thank you again for your time, your openness, and the opportunity to connect. I look forward to seeing how we can continue to partner together to support individuals on their journey of recovery, stability, and lasting success.

The Victory House is a recovery residence that provides a One Step Program to individuals to set people free from drugs and alcohol through faith based recovery programs.

At ReNew Recovery Café, we know that lasting change happens when people have the opportunity to discover their strengths, build meaningful relationships, and create a plan for the future.

That’s why we’re now recruiting for our August cohort of Getting Ahead in a Just-Gettin’-By World.

Getting Ahead is a research-based, trauma-informed workshop designed for individuals who are ready to move beyond simply surviving. Participants become investigators of their own lives, identify barriers that keep them stuck, build valuable resources, and develop a practical plan for greater stability and success.

This program is an excellent referral for individuals who are:
✨ Receiving public benefits (SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, etc.)
✨ Living in or near poverty
✨ Transitioning from homelessness or unstable housing
✨ Working toward employment or education
✨ Rebuilding after addiction, incarceration, or domestic violence
✨ Looking for long-term stability for themselves and their families

Why should service providers refer?
✔ Reinforces the work you’re already doing with clients
✔ Builds confidence, resilience, and self-advocacy
✔ Helps participants strengthen financial, emotional, social, and community resources
✔ Encourages long-term planning instead of crisis-to-crisis living
✔ Connects participants with a supportive community that continues beyond the workshop

Participants receive:
