Another great luncheon with 6 of our residents from Emory Bennett Veteran's Nursing Home. We had 1 newbie today who said he had a great time.
One of our volunteers Scott, had a picture of one of our favorite Veterans Gary, sitting next to his bike from a few months ago. Gary asked for a copy of it so he printed it out and put it in a beautiful American flag frame and presented it to him today. Gary loved it.A great time was had by all

Exciting news once again for our local veterans! On Friday, September 4, 2026, Ocean Deck Restaurant & Beach Bar hosts a live performance by the Wheeland Brothers who will be in Florida for their "Legendary Beach Bar Tour" and the kicker - the $20 cover charge goes directly to the Veterans Support Fund, helping us provide meaningful assistance to veterans right here in our local community.

Ocean Deck has been an incredible supporter of the Veterans Support Fund, and we are deeply grateful for everything they do to stand behind our mission and our veterans.

Come enjoy a fantastic night of music on the beach while supporting those who have served our country.

 For three decades, the veterans support fund has stood as a shining beacon of gratitude, compassion and unwavering commitment. Today, the state of Florida and the Florida Healthcare Association proudly honored the tireless dedication of all of our volunteers. Nearly 30 years ago, a small group took a few veterans out for a night on the town witnessing firsthand the joy and camaraderie our heroes cherish. We are truly privileged to share time, break bread, and listen to the stories these men and women hold dear. This community recognizes that without their sacrifice, we would not have the freedoms we enjoy today. We always take the time to acknowledge our volunteers and our local businesses for their continued support; we simply cannot do it without you! But today, it’s time to give a special shout out to our leaders Michael and Marybeth Erthal, who are wholeheartedly dedicated to giving back. We are incredibly fortunate to be guided by such a remarkable couple who have  provided the opportunity to make a difference in our community and in our veteran’s lives. I am so very proud to call them my brother and sister-in-law.
