🎉 TWO YEARS AGO TODAY 🎉

On June 10, 2024, Veterans K9Equine Alliance began with a simple mission:

Support the dogs and horses helping veterans heal.

What started as an idea has grown into something far bigger than we could have imagined.

In just two years, we’ve partnered with more than 50 incredible equine and K9 organizations across 28 states, helping strengthen the programs that provide healing, connection, and hope to our nation’s veterans.

Every partnership formed.
Every mile traveled.
Every dog fed.
Every horse cared for.
Every veteran impacted.

None of it happens alone.

To our partner organizations, supporters, donors, volunteers, sponsors, and friends: thank you for believing in this mission and helping us build something meaningful.

We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together, but we’re even more excited about what’s ahead.

The mission continues.

Before we begin our day, we pause to remember.

Today marks the anniversary of D-Day, June 6, 1944 — one of the most pivotal moments in history. More than 156,000 Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy, facing overwhelming odds in the fight to liberate Europe from tyranny.

Many of those young men never returned home. Their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to something greater than themselves changed the course of the world.

At Veterans K9Equine Alliance, we honor the legacy of those who served before us and recognize that the freedoms we enjoy today were secured by generations willing to answer the call when it mattered most.

As we remember the heroes of D-Day, we also remember all veterans who have carried that legacy forward through service, sacrifice, and dedication to our nation.

Today, we ask our community to join us in a moment of gratitude for the men who stormed the beaches of Normandy and for all who have worn our nation’s uniform.

We remember their sacrifice. We honor their courage. We preserve their legacy.

Two years ago, we stood together and made history.

On May 18th, 2024, the Afghanistan Iraq Veterans War Memorial in Connecticut was officially dedicated — a permanent tribute to the service, sacrifice, and legacy of those who served in two decades of war.

In the time since, this memorial has become more than stone and steel. It’s a place of reflection. A place of honor. A place where stories live on.

As we approach this 2-year mark, we pause to recognize what it represents:
For those who served…
For the families who carried the weight beside them…
For the brothers and sisters we lost…
And for the generations who will come here to understand the true cost of freedom.

This memorial stands because of a community that refused to let that service be forgotten.

Two years later, the mission to remember continues.
