It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Noble James Aaron “Jimmy” Thompson.
Jimmy was a familiar and beloved presence at the Gaston County Shrine Club for many years. His smile, friendship, and unwavering enthusiasm for Masonry and Shrinedom touched countless lives. Though he faced challenges that many of us could never fully understand, Jimmy never let those challenges define him. Through the support of his Masonic brothers, he achieved the distinction of becoming both a Master Mason and a Shriner, accomplishments of which he was immensely proud.
Jimmy’s presence at our meetings, events, and gatherings became a steady and cherished part of who we are as a club. He reminded us all that the true spirit of Masonry and Shrinedom is found in fellowship, kindness, acceptance, and brotherly love.
While our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the time we were blessed to spend with him and for the memories he leaves behind. Jimmy will be missed tremendously by his Shrine family, but his legacy of friendship and perseverance will not be forgotten.
Please keep Jimmy’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Rest easy, Noble Jimmy. You have laid down your working tools, but your place among us will always remain.
No arrangements have been made at this time, but will be posted when made available.
