Venture is a local church made up of people from all walks of life. We believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ will change anybody and therefore is for everybody!

What do you do when everything happening around you seems to contradict what you know to be true about God?

Psalm 80 was written from that exact place. God’s people were hurting, confused, and wondering why He seemed silent—but instead of running away from God, Asaph cried out to Him:

“Restore us, O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved!” — Psalm 80:3 ESV

Tomorrow we begin Psalms: Infallible Inspiration for Living, an 11-week journey through 11 different Psalms. We’re starting with Psalm 80: Inspiration in Confusion and discovering how God’s Word gives us something solid to stand on when our circumstances—and even our feelings—don’t make sense.

Nations rise. Leaders change. Kingdoms come and go.

But God’s Kingdom remains.

As followers of Jesus, our hope isn’t ultimately found in a government, a country, or any earthly power—it’s found in Christ and His Church. Our mission is bigger than what happens around us: love people, share the Gospel, make disciples, and keep building what lasts for eternity.

So when the world feels uncertain, remember this:

God is still in control.Jesus is still King.And God always wins. 🙌

“I am about to shake the heavens and the earth, and to overthrow the throne of kingdoms.” — Haggai 2:21–22 ESV

The world may feel uncertain. Leaders change. Nations rise and fall. Circumstances can shift in an instant.

But God’s plan has never been in danger.

Haggai reminded Zerubbabel that he didn’t have to carry the weight of controlling everything around him. His job was to stay faithful to what God had called him to do and trust God with the outcome.

The same is true for us.

Keep your eyes on Jesus.Keep doing the work He has given you.Keep sharing the Gospel.Keep building His Kingdom.

We don’t have to live in fear of what happens around us because Jesus is King—and God always wins. 🙌
