Venture Venture is a local church made up of people from all walks of life. We believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ will change anybody and therefore is for everybody!

Come as you are, grab a cup of coffee, and meet people who genuinely want to meet you! Ever feel like you didn’t fit in at church? We get that. Venture Church is a diverse group of people from all backgrounds. We don’t need to have it all together, because God does. You don’t have to dress up or be super spiritual. Just be yourself, whether you’ve been following Christ for 30 years or are just looking for some meaning in your life. Come as you are, grab a cup of coffee, and connect with people who care. Psalm 101 reminds us that integrity is not just about what people see — it reaches into our hearts, our homes, our choices, and our private lives.

David says, “I will walk with integrity of heart within my house.”

This psalm calls us to examine what we celebrate, what we allow before our eyes, how we treat others, and whether our lives are truly being shaped by God’s holiness.

None of us walk perfectly, but Psalm 101 points us to our need for grace and to the true and perfect King — Jesus.

May our prayer be simple:

Lord, shape our hearts.
Lead us in integrity.
Help us walk in glad submission to You.

This month, our Venture Objective is Connecting Believers to Unbelievers — and October gives us so many natural opportunities to put this into practice.

It doesn’t have to be complicated. It can start with something as simple as:

🏈 Inviting a friend over to watch a college football game
🍽️ Having a friend and their family over for dinner
🎃 Gathering your neighbors on Halloween to grill out and hand out candy
⚽ Showing up to support a friend’s child at a game
🙏 Praying for an opportunity to share the Gospel and talk about your relationship with Jesus

The goal is simple: build real relationships, create space for meaningful conversations, and look for opportunities to point people to Jesus.

This month, ask God:

Who can I intentionally connect with?
Where can I create space for Gospel conversations?

Let’s be intentional and
Invite. Connect. Pray. Share.

Creation is constantly pointing us back to the greatness of God.

Psalm 104 reminds us that everything we see — the heavens, the seas, the mountains, the seasons, the animals, the rhythm of day and night — exists because of Him and is sustained by Him.

When we slow down and really consider what God has made, our response should be worship:

“Bless the Lord, O my soul!”

This Sunday, we’ll continue our study through the Psalms as we look at Psalm 101 together.

We’re collecting individually wrapped, pre-packaged candy for our upcoming Halloween outreach events in Dallas and Lincolnton.

Next time you're at the store, grab an extra bag (or two! 😉) and bring it with you to Venture. Candy donations can be dropped off in the lobby.

Psalm 104 reminds us to stop and look at creation with worship in our hearts.

The heavens, the mountains, the seas, the seasons, the animals, the rhythm of day and night — all of it points back to the power, wisdom, authority, and goodness of God.

Everything exists because of Him.
Everything depends on Him.
Everything declares His glory.

When we slow down and really consider the world He has made, our response should be worship:

“Bless the Lord, O my soul!”
