Huge congratulations to Coach Trey Taylor on being awarded the "Franke Bell" Senior Coach of the Year by North Carolina Swimming. The award is named after legendary local coach, Franke Bell, who coached in the Charlotte area for over 50 years. We are so proud of the work Coach Trey has put in for the Gaston Gators, Gaston Aquatics, and the NC aquatic community. Please join us in congratulating Trey on this amazing accomplishment!

We are so excited to have ISR Belmont at the aquatic center! Stacey does amazing work and her program is one of the many programs that make our mission possible. We are grateful for the work she does and can’t wait for this partnership to continue!

I have some really exciting news to share! 👀

ISR Belmont is thrilled to announce a continuing partnership with Gaston Aquatics! Starting in January, I'll be bringing ISR lessons to the new Gaston Regional Aquatic Center!

This opportunity feels extra special because Gaston Aquatics has spent years working toward the vision of bringing a true aquatic center to Gaston County. Their mission has always been about more than swimming. It's about creating opportunities, improving safety, and serving families in our community.

As someone who believes deeply in the power of these skills, I'm so excited to partner with an organization that shares the same commitment to water safety, education, and serving families. The work Gaston Aquatics is doing aligns so closely with why I do what I do every day.

Knowing that ISR lessons will soon be offered in a brand-new facility built with aquatic education, safety, and community in mind is incredibly meaningful. Water safety is always a team effort, and I'm so grateful to be part of what Gaston Aquatics is building for our community.

And let's be honest...the warm water may have sealed the deal for me! 😂🤷‍♀️

I'm so excited for what this means for families across Gaston County and beyond! Every child who learns these skills is one more layer of protection, one more confident child, and one more family better prepared around the water.

I truly can't wait to welcome your little ones when the doors open and continue doing the work that means so much to me.

Join us for a very special evening in support of Gaston Aquatics!

On Friday, September 25, Gaston Aquatics will host a special screening of When Everyone Swims at the Myers Center at Gaston College, and we invite everyone in our community to be part of it.

We are incredibly honored to have the opportunity to bring this film to Gaston County. When Everyone Swims has been shown in only a limited number of communities across the country, making this a unique opportunity for our community to experience the film together while supporting the mission of Gaston Aquatics.

The message of the film could not be more closely connected to what we are building here.

We are working to create greater access to water safety education, swim lessons, competitive swimming, therapy and wellness, adaptive aquatics, lifeguard and first responder training, and so much more. Our goal is to create a place where everyone can find a meaningful connection to the water, regardless of age, ability, experience, or background.

Whether you are a swimmer, a parent, a grandparent, an athlete, a coach, a healthcare professional, a business owner, or simply someone who cares about the future of our community, you are welcome at this event.

'When Everyone Swims' is a film highlighting the importance of water safety in communities. Competitive swimming is about more than just racing. It builds strength, endurance, discipline, confidence, goal-setting skills, and a strong foundation both in and out of the water.

The Gaston Gators are inviting swimmers to register for a FREE swim evaluation to learn more about our year-round competitive swim program. Evaluations give swimmers the opportunity to meet our coaches, learn about the program, and find the right fit for their swimming journey.

Whether your goal is to improve technique, become a stronger swimmer, compete at a higher level, or continue developing a lifelong love for the sport, year-round training provides the consistency and coaching needed to grow.

The progress at Gaston Aquatics continues to amaze us! One of our latest milestones is the completion of the concrete pour for our 50-meter competitive pool, and it is exciting to see this incredible facility taking shape.

Every week brings noticeable progress, and our vision is becoming a reality faster than we ever imagined. We are incredibly grateful to the contractors, partners, donors, and supporters who continue to make this project possible.

Before long, this pool will be home to competitive swimmers, first responders training for lifesaving situations, children and adults learning critical water safety skills, and community members of all ages enjoying everything the center has to offer.

Thank you for following our journey. We can't wait to share even more milestones with you as we move closer to opening our doors!
