With 7 Grand Slams, 5 Wimbledon titles, and 4 Olympic gold medals, Venus is one of the greatest athletes in sports history and a global voice for wellness, leadership, and equity.

Celebrating helping hands with our Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon! 💙

In April, we gathered to honor the incredible individuals and groups who give their time and compassion to Austin Street all year long.

From serving meals and sorting mail to supporting our inclement weather shelters, volunteers play an essential role in helping our shelter operate and serve our community every day.

One of the most meaningful luncheon moments was hearing volunteers share their favorite memories from serving at Austin Street — powerful reminders of the impact of community and connection.

In 2025 alone:

✨ More than $693,000 in volunteer impact

PIZZA & PARTNERSHIP 🍕🤝: We’re grateful for the India Association of North Texas (IANT) and Little Caesars Love Kitchen team who came together last month to serve our neighbors experiencing homelessness.

In total, 90 pizzas were prepared and served, providing meals to approximately 350 people. This powerful community collaboration ensured unsheltered individuals were fed, cared for, and served with dignity.

Thank you to both groups for showing up for our North Texas community and helping make a meaningful impact 🫶

🌟 RECORD-BREAKING: Our 11th Annual No Place Like Home event raised more than $315,000 🌟

Last week’s spring event was an incredible success, and thanks to our amazing supporters, we surpassed our fundraising goal. We welcomed 270 attendees who came together to champion our mission and enjoy a special performance by Casey Donahew.

In addition, Austin Street Home sold more than $1,000 in candle and diffuser products, with all proceeds directly supporting our shelter.

The evening was chaired by Waldo Gonzales and William Taylor, emceed by Bo Evans of CBS News Texas, presented by H-E-B, and supported by 47 generous sponsors.
