What an incredible day for the Lone Star Young Marines!

Our Young Marines had the honor of helping set up the a traveling wall for the American Veteran Traveling Tribute & the Traveling Wall (Avtt), paying tribute to those who served our nation and made the ultimate sacrifice. They also proudly represented our unit by holding the American flag on the field during the National Anthem for the Frisco RoughRiders

The highlight of the day was meeting Medal of Honor recipient Salvatore Giunta. Having the opportunity to meet and learn from a true American hero was an experience our Young Marines will carry with them for years to come.

Experiences like these help bring history, service, and sacrifice to life in a way that can’t be taught in a classroom. We are incredibly proud of the professionalism, respect, and pride our Young Marines displayed throughout the day.

This Memorial Day weekend, the Lone Star Young Marines are proud to honor those who gave everything for our country through our Field of Flags display.

For our Young Marines, this is more than placing flags — it is learning the meaning of service, sacrifice, patriotism, and remembrance.

Today we honor the brave men and women serving in all branches of the United States Armed Forces. 🇺🇸

On this Armed Forces Day, the Lone Star Young Marines would like to thank all active duty service members for their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our nation.

Many of our Young Marines look up to the values demonstrated by our military — leadership, discipline, teamwork, and service to others. We are grateful for those who continue to serve and inspire the next generation.

Congratulations to Recruit Class 2026-01! 🇺🇸

This weekend, the Lone Star Young Marines welcomed our newest Young Marins after successfully completing recruit training. These Young Marines demonstrated discipline, teamwork, leadership, and perseverance throughout the cycle, and we could not be more proud of what they accomplished.

Special recognition to our award recipients:

🏆 YM Keira O’Malley – Iron Molly
🏆 YM Ace Hamill – Iron Mike

We would also like to recognize YM/SSGT Stark C, who was awarded the Commendation of Merit for his outstanding leadership and dedication in leading and developing our very first recruit class. His hard work, mentorship, and commitment played a major role in the success of these recruits.

Thank you to all of our adult volunteers, families, and supporters who continue to make this program possible. The future is bright for the Lone Star Young Marines!
