Good news from across the Ocean, thank you Mariana Achiriloaie!
At this hour, the Board of Directors of the American Foundation Hearts Across Romania in Dallas, a traditional partner, has approved a $200 monthly scholarship for Teodor, a blind student.
We thank our American partners for investing in the education of potentially disadvantaged youth, over the past years, over 20 scholarships.
Theodore,
third-year theology student, Babe student-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, wrote his own story, even though he can’t see. And his story, as a child abandoned at birth, with stripes on the Birth Certificate in the headings Name and Surname of mother and father, raised in a foster care family for the first 5 years, then in a center for disabled children, he reached the age of 18 in a social center for adults do social work.
His story, broadcasted by TVR in the show "Destinies as in the Movies" starting April 29 this year, has reached across the Ocean.
Impressed, Jerry Williams president of Hearts Across Romania foundation in Dallas, Mariana Achiriloaie vice president & Doris Marshall , Program Director, joined our emotional and financial support program.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Merry Christmas and Happy Belated 4th of July!

Because shipments of donations take such a long time to reach their destination in Romania, Hearts is getting an early start on this year's holiday season.

We are soliciting items now to ship to Brasov, Romania where they will be held and distributed at Christmas to our sponsored children, college students, and clients of Bucuria Darului,(http://www.bucuriadarului.ro/) a social service organization for needy families supported by Hearts Across Romania.

There are several ways donors can participate.

Contributors can donate directly on our website at Donate Now and choose the drop-down "Christmas in July" to purchase gifts on their behalf;

Donations can be sent directly to Hearts Across Romania at 1315 Riverchase Drive. #1113, Coppell, TX 75019.

Suggestions include new clothing, socks, underwear, pajamas, small toys, games, Barbie dolls, action figures, hot wheel cars, soccer balls, newborn diapers, baby items, and personal hygiene items such as soap, lotion, cream, shampoo, deodorant, and toothpaste.

We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our gracious donors who have continued to support us through this devastating global COVID-19 pandemic, and all the ways it has changed our world. We hope to be able to travel to Brasov before long. In the meantime, our Romanian children and college students are doing well, and work is continuing in our absence through our wonderful partners in Romania.

From our friends in Romania on Orthodox Easter, April 24, 2022.

Dear friends,

We always carry you in our hearts. The presence of the dental office always reminds us of this work together that we managed to put on together. At the Children's House, the holidays have already started and with it the preparations for Easter. We paint icons, watch videos about Christ, and get ready for the holiday. More and more children are finding refuge here and help with day-to-day homework. They have a second family.

In the villages we have not stopped visiting the most needy of those we help and we try to do as much good for them as possible. The ongoing cases include a family trying to get electricity, a mother looking for a better rent, and an elderly lady trying to get an id card. Left alone and without any support, it was impossible for her to withdraw her pension without a valid identity card.

There are many situations that we face every day, but the thought that we are close to you gives us confidence and strength to carry them all.

We hope you find the Easter holidays with peace, quiet, and confidence in God's care.
