Giving children battling severe illness the oppurtunity to have an amazing outdoor adventure! A dream - to most of us it’s a simple thing.

To a sick child, it can be everything. Hunt with Heart delivers dreams to kids with life altering or terminal illnesses. When you are fighting with everything you have, we provide a respite, a recharge, and a reboot. Hunt with Heart provides escorted hunts as well as fishing trips, target shooting, archery – anything a child or young adult can desire in the great Texas outdoors. We are a not for p

rofit, but every day with the help of our many volunteers and sponsors, we do our best to put smiles on the faces of those most in need. Many children would love the chance to experience these types of activities but are tied up with their medical conditions. Our hunts and outdoor activities are funded by money and resources acquired through donations, fundraisers and benefits. Join us for our Annual Hunt with Heart Trunk or Treat event Saturday, October 24th. from 5:00 - 8:30 p.m. Bring all your heart warrior friends and enjoy free activities, games, food and candy! You will have an opportunity to trick or treat and play games at each of our specially decorated trunks. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Oh, and don't forget to bring your favorite candy bag or bucket for all your treats! We can't wait to meet you and tell you all about our wonderful organization and all that we have to offer.

We had our annual Back to School Bash this weekend at Cullen Ranch. Our heart warriors and their families had an opportunity to catch up with other heart families and enjoy each other’s company one last time before the seriousness of school ensues. The day was spent fishing, shooting, riding around the ranch to see all the wildlife on the property, eating snow cones and popcorn, sliding down water slides and swimming, making crafts and picking out school supplies. Thank you, Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston, for generously donating school supplies for our heart warriors and their siblings. Our families were excited to pick out all their school supplies this year. We also want to thank Greg and Jennifer from Beazer Homes for volunteering their time by making popcorn and snow cones and helping at the craft table. And an extra special thanks to our Hunt with Heart Board Members their wives, our guides and all the families who always make this event run exceptionally smooth year after year. It takes a village to put these events on and we are forever grateful for all the helping hands! ♥️

This weekend we welcomed four new heart warriors to our Hunt with Heart family through Camp La Pesca. Meet Mateo, Logan, Zane and Michael! This weekend was all about them. Because of their hearts are so delicate they have had a lot of activities taken away from them including outdoor sports. At Camp La Pesca our mission is to introduce heart warriors to the outdoors and focus on all the activities they CAN do! This was everyone’s first saltwater fishing experience and they finally got to experience a win! Beyond their big catches they got to meet other kids just like them who understood exactly what they were all going through. Not only did the boys get to bond with each other but the parents got to talk to each other and they understood all the medical terminology. They didn’t have to break it down in laymen’s terms. And the best part the kids got to bond with their parent or in Michael’s case with his grandma who has been with him since day one advocating for him and his mom. These are special, almost magical moments that can only happen at these camps. We call that, “The magic of camp!” We can’t thank our donors enough for their generosity. Thank you Elzner Family for the wonderful accommodations and thank you Hookspit for the awesome fishing shirts these kiddos get to sport!

We're excited to share that Lauren Kelch has joined the Hunt with Heart Board of Directors.
Lauren serves as Managing Director of Property Management for CBRE in Houston, where she leads one of the city's largest commercial real estate management organizations. But her connection to our mission runs much deeper than her professional resume — it began on a deer lease in East Texas.
Lauren grew up in a family where the outdoors wasn't a weekend activity — it was a way of life. Campfires, dominoes, and stories that got taller every year taught her that a love for hunting goes hand in hand with respect for wildlife, conservation, and the responsibility that comes with both. Today, she and her husband are raising their two sons the same way — in the woods, on the water, or gathered around another campfire.
In Lauren's words: "Hunt with Heart creates more than outdoor experiences. It creates memories, traditions, and relationships that stay with families long after the trip is over."

What an amazing day! It was a little wet but that didn’t stop our wonderful supporters from giving it their best and busting clays! Thank you to all of our sponsors, shooters, volunteers and heart families who came out today to support Hunt with Heart at our 14th Annual Jason Currie Memorial Sporting Clays Tournament. Because of your generosity and giving heart we can continue supporting our heart warriors by furthering our mission and impacting more heart families.
