HHLOC has received information from the the planners of the annual baby shower for our female veterans. We have been asked to have all donations delivered no later than August 30, so please arrange to have any baby quilts, stroller blankets and hats, and burp cloths and bibs to us by our Thursday, August 13 meeting. And we can then assemble the baby bundles during our Saturday, August 22 meeting.

Representatives from Cy-fair Women's club & our volunteers enjoyed a light lunch after the presentation. HHLOC cannot express our thanks and gratitude for this gift that will allow us to purchase yarn, batting, and other needed materials. Our heartfelt thanks to this wonderful group of women.

Prince of Peace Mercy Center was the recipient of twenty-five baby quilts and nine baby bibs for their Gabriel Project. These baby gifts will be distributed May 4 to community residents. Many thanks to all our HHLOC volunteers who made this possible.

HHLOC representatives Sherry C & Cathy T attended the Willowbrook Methodist Hospital's Volunteer Appreciation luncheon on behalf of HHLOC today. We were overwhelmed with the kind words & show of appreciation from the chaplains & volunteers who actually distribute the quilts we make to patients. We were proud to represent HHLOC & the work our group does. And by the way, we delivered 30 quilts for distribution.
