Rescue Pink

Rescue Pink Working to empower mothers as they rescue their own daughters in India. This stems from disregarding the value of its women for centuries.

There are over 60 million missing girls in India (they were either aborted before birth, killed once born, died of neglect just because they were girls, trafficked, or given away in child marriage). Rescue Pink works to change this through rescue, prevention, and awareness. Rescue Pink’s vision is to create an India where a girl’s value is respected. We focus in rural India to rescue girls by plan

ting centers in strategic locations offering alternative options through our prevention models and by creating awareness. Rescue Pink has a commitment to keeping families together, with an emphasis on changing the mindset. The devaluing of women and girls in India has a dire ongoing affect, but many are desensitized to it. We work to create awareness through campaigns in urban, rural, and educational settings. Our prevention models include counseling services for at-risk girls and women under pressure, after school and life skills programs for girls, medical camps, nutrition to pregnant and lactating women and financial empowerment to moms including support groups and entrepreneur training. In just a few years Rescue Pink has grown to having 4 centers in 3 states, working with over 200 little girls and their families. Offering Pregnant and Lactating programs to over 225 mothers and their baby girls, and over 565 women with at risk little girls in our Entrepreneurship Programs. Our goal is to empower the moms of these at-risk little girls in a self-sustainable way, to help them rescue their own girls, keep families together, build courage in the moms to stand on her own two feet and show her value to the family. Then, together with Rescue Pink’s influence, we build confidence and empowerment into the little girls in order to create a sustainable change among the masses in the areas where we work.

Preschool morning calisthenics!

Movement isn’t just fun, it helps increase blood flow to the brain, improving memory, attention span, coordination, and motor skills. It also burns off a little of that early morning energy so our girls are ready to learn and engage throughout the day.

Of course, they don’t know any of that.

They’re just having fun.

And honestly, we think their faces in slides 2 and 3 say it all.

Meet S, one of our alumni girls from R-Center.

After participating in our after-school program, S continued her education until tragedy struck. When her father passed away after 9th grade, her family was pushed deeper into poverty. School fees became impossible, and S was leaving her education behind to help her family survive.

But at Rescue Pink, we don’t stop walking with our girls when they leave our centers.

During a follow-up home visit (in 2025), our staff learned about S’s situation. We encouraged them to not give up on her future and introduced them to distance education, an opportunity they didn’t know was available.

We then enrolled her into our business training program and gifted her a sewing machine with one condition: as long as she stayed in school, she would never have to pay it back.

Today, S is continuing her education from home while earning income through tailoring to help support her family and pay her school fees.

This is why we stay connected to our alumni. The investment we make in a girl at 5, 8, 10, or 12 years old isn’t wasted when life gets hard. We continue walking alongside her, encouraging her, and opening doors when we can.

We’ll keep showing up until the cycle is broken and girls like S have the opportunity to build the futures they deserve!

A girl shouldn’t be left behind simply because of where she was born.

Many of our girls are the first generation in their family to receive a computer education.

What they learn today can change the trajectory of generations to come.

We aren’t having any fun at all in preschool 😜🩷

In English class, the girls are practicing conversation skills using movie genres and different character types. It’s a fun way to build vocabulary, confidence, and speaking skills.

And our favorite part? When she confidently announces that she only has “a little joking skill.” 😂

Rescue Pink Family, you are feeding 300+ girls over this Summer break. That’s over 9,000 lunches, 18,000 snacks filled with protein, to equal over 27,000 meals & snacks fed to our sweet girls.

These meals aren’t provided by a government program or a large institution, they are only possible because of you…people who choose to care and give. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We couldn’t do this without you!

Our girls love extended Summer English classes because they understand what strong English skills can mean for their future: access to higher education, better paying jobs, and the ability to navigate a world where many opportunities are only available to those who can communicate confidently in English.

From learning about nouns, conjunctions, and interjections to mastering active and passive voice, they’re building far more than language skills. They’re building the tools to advocate for themselves, pursue their dreams, and break the cycle of poverty.
