New intake 🥺

This tiny girl weighs just 1 pound. She was found on the side of the road off 1488 in Magnolia.

Today she was examined and diagnosed with a distal physeal fracture of her right femur, along with significant soft tissue swelling. She received a little fluids and a f***l test, which revealed a heavy coccidia infection. That is a partial tail you see also.

For now, she is on crate rest and starting dewormer. Unfortunately, an amputation may be in her future. We will consult with the orthopedic surgeon to get his opinion if her leg can be saved.

This sweet girl was abandoned after her owners moved away, left behind to fend for herself after once being adopted from the SPCA — only to find herself homeless again. Despite everything she’s been through, Poppy is still loving, gentle, and full of hope.

Poppy is about 1.5 years old and appears to be a mix that may include Plott Hound and Cur. She has the most beautiful brindle markings and the sweetest soulful eyes.

Right now, Poppy needs initial vetting before we can officially list her for adoption. She also has a small limp that we’ll be having checked out, so any amount toward her care truly helps.

Thankfully, Poppy now has an amazing foster who stepped in to rescue her from her situation and give her the safety and care she deserves while we help her heal and search for a forever home that will never betray her again.

Meet this sweet girl who’s finally getting the chance she deserves 💛 Stella Mae is a 63lb, 7yr old bully mix. After being dumped and left to fend for herself, she’s completely come out of her shell and is now full of life, love, and playful energy. Watching her learn how to just be a happy dog again has been the best thing ever.
She’s a great pack dog and absolutely loves playing with other dogs. She would thrive in a home with playful pups or an active family. She’s friendly, affectionate, and loves attention but she’s also just as happy lounging around with you when it’s time to relax. She’s easygoing, cuddly, and truly such a sweet girl.
When meeting new dogs, she can be a little wary at first and may try to assert her dominance initially, so slow introductions are best. Once she settles in, she loves to play and be part of the pack.🐾
The only thing on her “no thanks” list is cats, so she would do best in a cat-free home. Other than that, everyone is her friend. Despite everything she’s been through, she still has so much love to give and deserves a family that will never let her feel abandoned again.

Hi… my new name is Caramel.

I’m only around 2–3 years old, but my body tells a story of pain I never deserved. Part of my tail is gone. My toes were crushed and broken, and now they’re swollen, infected, and hurt every time I move. My paw pads are torn, my skin is painful, and I still flinch when people move too fast around me. I’ve learned to cower because life hasn’t always been gentle with me. But even after everything, I still love softly.

Yesterday was a big day for me. I had X-rays, antibiotics, pain medicine, and lots of tests. The good news is I’m heartworm negative. The harder part is that I’ll need surgery to remove my badly damaged toes, and once I’m stronger, I’ll also need to be spayed. For the first time in a long time, people are helping me instead of hurting me.

A teenager found me dumped in her apartment complex and chose not to ignore me. She saw my pain and fought for me. She even cried at my vet visit because my story hurt her heart. But because of her, I finally have a chance. She reminded me that there are still kind humans in this world. We need more people like her.

My vet bill yesterday was $595, and my journey to healing is just beginning.

Hi future family!

My name is Einstein, but my friends call me Einnie.....and yes, I’m just as smart as my name implies. Lucky for you, I’m also the perfect mix of sweet, silly, and lovable.

I’m just over a year old and have come such a long way since arriving at my foster home. I started out shy and unsure, but with patience, love, and time, I’ve truly blossomed in my foster home. These days, I’m a playful, cuddly boy who loves being close to my people. Once I trust you, I’ll be your loyal little shadow—and if I feel like I’m not getting enough attention, I may gently wrap my paws around your arm as a reminder.

I’m crate trained, potty trained, and sleep through the night like a pro. I absolutely love my foster dog and kitty siblings, and I’ll need a home with another friendly, confident dog to help me continue building my confidence. While new experiences can still make me nervous, I’m making progress every single day.

The outside world still scares me. All I need is a patient family willing to give me the time and understanding I need to fully settle in. In return, I’ll give you endless love, loyalty, and snuggles.
I may take a little extra time, but I promise I’m absolutely worth it.
